It seems I have to comment about this in every thread about Shanny. Again, what has he done to prove that he is no longer the player he used to be? Just age? He had 23 points and 23 goals last year with the Rangers and added five points in the playoffs (not bad, considering they were eliminated in the second round). He's always been a solid, go-to player and he's yet to proven that he can no longer handle that task. Any team would be stronger offensively with him in the lineup.....I don't get why he hasn't signed yet. Its gotta be a money issue.

Deny all you want, but I believe he was a strong part of our team and you seem to be just completely undermining his role. You don't believe he was significant, and I do. Simple as that. As I said, there are other factors as well, such as the team mentality and drive, but I also believe McCllean was big piece of our team.

Don't get me wrong, I also believeit has a lot to do with our players lacking the drive and hunger for the cup. The fact that it is just about the same team on paper shows its a mental issue as well. But you can't deny that the loss of McClellan and the hiring of McCrimmon didn't hurt.

Todd McLellan was our assistant coach. The fact that our defense has become absolutely terrible after hiring Brad McCrimmon means its a defensive situation. Do you have any clue that he's the new coach of the number one team in the league?

Its awesome that our 46 year old first game D-Man has to bail out our twenty something year old D-Men.
