I think Malt has another year left in him and thats it. The organization is basically keeping him due to loyalty and the fact he's one of the few remaining pieces of our 90's Stanley Cup pie. By 2010 or 2011 that whole team will probably be gone and it will mark the end of a GREAT era for the Wings. Unlike some (cough, cough Sammy cough) Maltby still works hard and grinds every shift. So, let the guy have another season on our team and allow him to retire at his discretion.......not ours. He earned it. McCarty.......sorry to say but its time to hang em up.

Anaheim and ESPECIALLY San Jose will be a MAJOR reality check for the Wings. Hopefully, for the better.

I'm so glad we've been winning but honestly......just about all these games could have gone either way. Have we had one game yet that was all Wings? Nope...

THANK YOU! This just reinforces what I've been saying all season (and most of last). Lebda needs to go! Would waaaay rather have a Lilja/Meech or Lilja/Ericsson pairing then Lebda with anyone! He's a drain on the team and every time he seems to be on the ice, the other team gets some sort of offensive rush. Also, I HATED seeing his "professional input" the other night on how to contain the Chicago offense. Like he's some defensive guru or something. Yeah, as if.

Well, I'm satisfied with our offense. Now if we can just work on that defense

Did you watch the same games I did? Almost, if not all, of our wins were decided by one goal. We BARELY pulled off those wins and had to be CONSTANTLY bailed out by our goaltenders. So, yes, it is completely legitimate that some of us fans are......concerned......to say the least.

And Franzen's gone. Season is getting worse and worse.

Can't use the "Hey, its the beginning of the season! Team just needs to shake off cobwebs" excuses anymore. Time to face the fact this team is just playing like s***....like a completely different team from last year. We seriously look like a team that either barely makes or barely misses playoffs.....if that.
