The guy obviously doesn't want to coach forever, and our team is far far from being a playoff caliber team, so I don't blame him one bit for seeking greener pastures. I actually think given a team like the Sharks, Tampa Bay, or even the Flyers, he could take all of them to the next level.

I'll give you Alfredsson and Weiss but it's not like there was a huge bidding war for them. As far as I remember, for both those players, only us and one other team were even interested. DeKeyser is a hometown boy so no points on that on and I'm too unfamiliar with Nosek to even comment on him. All I know is that it feels like for the last 5 years or so, players are always taking another team over us. I mean, do you simply refuse to acknowledge the fact we struck out on every single player we went after this season (and there were a LOT of them)?

They're anonymous because many currently work within the Wings org and obviously don't want to jeopardize their jobs.

I bet those same experts told him to resign Samuelsson, Williams, Bertuzzi and Quincey. Seems to me like he needs to find new experts. Exactly. The GM is supposed to be the freaking voice of reason for god's sakes, that's why he's the GM. Not just leave all decisions up to the players.

Eh, I think it's more lip service than anything else. Regardless though, I might be crazy, but with all the forward in the pipe, I think Green is worth the risk......contingent upon being able to lock him up.

Tatar wants out anyway though, he's pretty much made that clear. He's threatened more than once to bolt back to the KHL if not brought up, which I completely don't fault him for being subject to such an incompetent and disconnected GM, but nonetheless I think he's already decided he rather play somewhere else. One thing we have a plethora of is forwards, might as well take a risk and get a guy with a killer right shot from the point. Regardless, wouldn't save our dumpster fire of an offseason though.

Paraphrasing, but that's the gist. To be fair though, they offered to follow up with me about it but I refused. I just wasn't interesting in hearing the same recycled banter to try to convince me this is the best team ever.

Still head back to Michigan a lot due to family/work. Did temporarily move back there from Nov until this past April. Truth be told, would have probably only been able to do a 10 game package this upcoming season anyway.
