Meh. Would prefer a team on the east or at least central so I can watch the games. Being in Boston, might start following the Bruins closer. Though I hate a ton of players on the team, I think Chiarell is the best GM in the NHL. -

I called and canceled my half-season ticket plan yesterday over voice mail as well as gave my great displeasure, directly but professionally, over the mismanagement and lack of professionalism of this organization. I actually received a follow up this morning from the head of ticket services telling me, "If you don't believe in the vision or management style of the best GM in sports, perhaps you might think about following another team". I can see they really value the fans. -
Oh, and Sproul, Ouellet, Alexey Marchenko and Mattias Backman will all start in GR while Quincey, Kindl, and Lashoff will be with the Wings on opening night.

Yeah that's pretty much my point. These guys that the Wings had locked up in our system are pretty much garbage in the eyes of other teams. I also think if Miller hit the market, he would be a late summer signing at best.

Just throwing it out there, I find it pretty hilarious that we seem to be the only team where none of our free agents have generated even the slightest bit of interest from other teams. Shows how desirable our players are. Cleary Bertuzzi Tootoo Samuelsson Quincey Not the subject of any buzz whatsoever, outside resigning in Detroit.

He has one year remaining on his contract and we have 10 mil in cap space. You think it's better to leave the cap space wasted instead of using on a guy who could drastically turn around our PP and blueline?

A guy who is arguably better than Quincey just signed for less than 1/4 the price. Process that for a moment.

The sad part is this is totally something Holland would do.

If you can, watch the games. Yes it was a sweep, but 3 out of the 4 were pretty tight, a lot tighter than our series was. Just because a series only goes 4 or 5 games doesn't mean it's one sided. Ours very much was, so much so that at some points during the series, if you were unlucky enough to watch the Boston feed, they were actually rooting for us to get something going.

No you're right, Oates was the probably the all time worst. I was only 3 at the time, so the other ones just pissed me off more .

Mantha has apparently been pretty underwhelming at the prospect tournament. Don't know if he's burnt out, or just not into it, but hasn't impressed much. Seems like AA is the star of the show.
