Most of those guys, no, are not vital to our success. Lang though will leave a huge void that NEEDS to be filled and cant be filled by the likes of rookies and/or prospects. We need a forward......maybe not a top guy, but someone to fill Lang's shoes. I mean, we probably wouldn't have even made it to the third round if it wasnt for Lang's shot with 30 sec. left in SJ. Like I said, we need a 2nd line forward........after that I'll be content.

we desperately, and i mean DESPERATELY need a top six forward. Thats gotta be priority number one. Yes, Lang had a terrible season but still had plenty of points and his +/- was great. We need to replace that. Our D is good for now, we just HAVE to sign a forward. Kozlov or Shanahan would be my top picks at this stage.

The last public statement Holland made, shortly after Bertuzzi was signed by the ducks, said "We'll take our time now, wait awhile this summer," Holland said. "I think we've got a good team. We'll survey the land." This pretty much guarantees that there will be no signings (except Hasek) in the near future, and our hope of signing another good, forward is gone.
