I think the reason most of us are upset and sad is not because we lost game 5, but rather, how we lost it. We were inches and seconds away from having a 3-2 series lead. THAT is what hurts. If we lost 3-1 or something, it would have sucked, but it wouldn't even come close to hurting like this loss did. If we put up a valiant effort on Tuesday but still lose, I'll be pissed but hey, as long as we put an effort I'll be content. Just don't go blowing any leads or anything cause then I might feel worse then I do now and I dont even know how thats humanely possible. We can do this guys....if you remember, after we lost game 2 (which was also in OT) we came back to the pond to beat them 5-0! If they can win two in a row, so can we. LETS GO WINGS! WINGS IN 7!!!!

I am still majorly stung by this game. I know it seems dumb to be in a funk over a hockey game, but I really can't get over it. This game hurt.....it really really really hurt.

I didnt think I could ever get this depressed about a hockey team, but seriously....I'm freakin depressed. I cant eat or sleep and still feel heartbroken about today and cant get it out of my system. I'm gonna be at the game on Tues which will either make me more depressed or make me uber happy. (I know its gonna be the second one)

I can tell you guys one thing, Tuesday will be one hell of a game. Yes, I think we'll be tested but we HAVE been the better team throughout this series.....we've either blown them out or barely lost. Every game is a new start, and I really think we can pull out two in a row. If I'm wrong, whatever....but I'm still insanely proud this team to make it as far as they have AND I know if they go out, they'll go out with a bang. WINGS IN 7!!!

yea! that one non- call where that guy OBVIOUSLY did that thing to him and we get screwed for it. its the only reason we lost.

I dont wanna sound like an ass, but are you SERIOUSLY a Wings fan? I mean, you show up all of a sudden during the conference finals and make like 400 posts in the span of a week and claim to be this diehard fan. Did you fall from the sky? Have you been in hiding? Whats the deal? And then you immediately come on here while everyone is pissed off/sad enough from this loss and say that we have no chance of coming back.These are traits of a bandwagon rider and I'm sorry dude but if thats your attitude, then piss off.

1991, right before my fifth birthday. I was in Bloomfield Hills at a relative's house and at the time and really had no idea what hockey even was. My dad said he had something, "special" planned but wouldn't tell me what. Our destination Joe Louis Arena for "the game". I still had no idea where I was going though. We arrived and walked in, and I'll never forget the feeling when I got to my ice level seats and saw the players during the pre-skate. It was freakin godly. The game was against the Toronto Maple Leafs and the whole place was electric. It was my first game, AND it was my first OT game. When we scored that OT goal, the place exploded and I was hooked and have been a fan ever since. Not too long after, my dad enrolled me in hockey. That game had to be one of the greatest days of my life.
