Lol, Tatar scratched. The guy who was one of our best pre season players. I really don't think they see a place for him on the team. He'll probably be moved when Tootoo returns.

Just looking at the box score. Sammy might be wrong as he is also credited with an assist and Pittsburgh only had one goal, which should even it out and make him finish even. If thats so, then Cleary is the only forward who finished with a negative. HAH. -

In regards to Samuelsson, contrary to belief, management never even considered or approached him about a compulsory buyout. In other words, unless he gets reinjured, you can pretty much guarantee you'll see him i the lineup on day 1 of the season. -
Again, grain of salt here but... The same Wings beat writer who told me last night that Cleary had verbally agreed to come back (and was actually spot on) just told me that right now the talk in management is that Sammy will 99% start the season in the lineup, Nyquist will be sent down, and the guys they are aiming to waive/move are Tatar, Tootoo and Eaves....

Wouldn't they have to send Nyquist to GR for another year (I'm sure he'll be thrilled with that) AND put Helm on long term IR just to get Tatar a spot?

Don't care it's only one year. Don't care it's less than Phily. It's an awful signing and we potentially just lost an up-and-comer due to Holland's loyalty. -

Please take this with a grain of salt, but one of the Wings beat writers who I talk to on and off emailed me back and told me he's heard whispers that the Wings have verbally agreed to new terms with Cleary and could be announced as early as tomorrow.... -
