Article Was a bit hoping for some added defense but looks like we'll stay quiet once again this year. Ah well.

From what I saw tonight, he looked old and tired and was easily the worst player on the ice (-2, 4 PIM). Ain't looking good for him at this point.

Sorry, on my IPhone and only based my opinion on that first video. Yeah, the sucker punch was pretty disgusting. Guy should be suspended for the rest of the season for even attempting it. What I'm most annoyed with though are those damn Pittsburgh announcers. I mean, the audacity of those two. A team calling out another for their "dirty players" and being an "embarrassment to the league" when this team couldn't BUY a win from 00-06 and have arguably the dirtiest player in the league (Cooke). Pot, meet kettle.

Can't believe all the negative reactions on here. Do you change the channel during regular hockey fights as well? I mean, some of the most memorable events in hockey are brawls, like Col/Det 97 and Ottawa/Buffalo 08. I thought the whole thing was a million kinds of awesome. If it was on a constant basis, i can see it being ridiculous, but personally I love seeing a brawl now and again. Just reinforces how unbelivably awesome hockey is. The only lame aspect of it was Gonchar coming off the bench to double team the NY player. Pretty gutless I must say.

The main thing I worry about is his age. At 37, he ain't no spring chicken, especially in terms of hockey players (unless your name is Mark Recchi). I wonder how much of an impact he can actually make.

Does no one else find Snow's actions slimy? Out of sheer respect between the GMs, i think no one should have signed him, which I was falsely hoping would be the case. I mean, Holland gets in contact with a player, does the negotiating, and gets him, basically doing all the dirty work. Yet Snow comes along and with one click of a button (or however the hell you claim a waiver), esentially steals our player and gets rewarded for Holland's work. Then the guy talks about "bringing him into our great organization which is on the up-and-up and he'll fall in love with". First off, love......Isles? Up and up? Who the hell are you trying to kid. Do you believe people don't pay attention to standings or organization management? My god, its not a secret that the Isles are one if the worst run teams in the league. I mean, he doesnt need to paint a deathly picture of the Isles to tbe press, but try to be at least a TAD down to earth and get your head out of your ass. Second, will he fall in love before or after the tearing down of half the city to meet Wang's needs (hehe)? Third, you ****** you, you didn't "bring" him into the organization. You were given a late Christmas gift, in no part thanks to your efforts as GM for the worst run organization in the league. Did get two drunk chicks to make out though...

Disgusting......absolutely disgusting. The NHL should be ashamed of themselves.....one dare never to question one of their own in Bettmans mickey mouse organization. Disgraceful bastards. If I was a Kings fans I'd strongly consider setting up a donation fund from the fans to pay the fine. We NEED players/coaches/GMs to SPEAK out about the inconsistentcy of the league more often. All things considered, he's still a high ranked NHL goalie in terms of status. He went from 6 mil a year to 1 mil with Chicago. My point is the days of goalies getting those kinds of salaries are over.....unless your GM is Brian Burke.

6mil is crazy for ANY goalie, even Roy in his prime. The fact is, especially with the salary cap, money these days has to be allocated elsewhere and goalies can no longer demand the huge payout that they could in the past. GMs are getting wise to this, as high caliber goalies can be signed for relatively cheap now. Look at Turco and Nabakov. Leave it to Burke to throw a gigantic chunk of cash at a goalie to play for a team with horrid defense and little offense. Anyone else see a problem?

So thats it right there. It was simply a move to get him back in the NHL. The fact that his agent actually addressed all the NHL teams with Nabokov's desired conditions means that he's open to playing with anyone. Bottomline, he aint commin to Detroit..

at 570? Oh man, no way we get him. I suppose this is just a set up for next season then? Very strange happenings....
