Depends on what you consider "blowing off fans". I can hardly believe Lidstrom would say anything derogatory to an autograph seeker or fan. Maybe stay silent on a bad day or something, but not act like a ******. The guy is just too nice a guy. Modano doesn't just "blow off fans", he insults them. He goes to resturaunts and demands no one goes near his table. He tells people who work for the Stars organization to "stay the hell away from him". And, as previously mentioned, he tells a sweet young fan who wants nothing more then an autograph to f*** off. Listen to NHL Live sometime, theres been two occasions that people have called to vent about their horrible encounter with him. Ugh.

Just look it up, theres stories about his doucheniness all over. Plus, I've personally seen him tell a 9 year little girl who was simply asking for an autograph after a game to essentially go f*** herself. He's seriously a nasty individual.

And now we get word that it's likely we'll re-sign Maltby. So, just to make things clear, we're letting walk a clutch, solid d-man but re-signing guys who will not help the team out one BIT next year in Maltby, Abs, and Meech. Holland has finally lost it.

Ridiculous. We keep worthless players like Meech and Abs but we wont re-sign a guy who did everything he could to play again in a Wings uniform. Disgusting.

the team was essentially healthy during their playoff run and thats what matters. Didn't do too much dominating then did they? Thats not to say they didn't have flashes of brilliance here and there, but it definitely wasnt good enough to get close to the cup.

Can't help but laugh at all the people saying Huds and Abs WILL be the difference next year that brings us the cup. Sorry to burst your bubble, but those players aren't season-changing players you think they are. We have to accept the fact that this is essentially the 09/10 team, just a bit older. We also have to be ready to accept Lidstrom's drop in play and points (its simply inevitable at 40. He's not immortal) as well as possible injuries with players that are prone to it (Zetterberg's back issues have me increasingly worried every season). Everyone is getting better while we stay the same.

Guy puts up good numbers and is pretty much willing to fight anything in front of him. I'd love to have him as a depth guy in Grand Rapids next year and possibly seeing if he has what it takes to come up to the big league within the next few years.

Atlanta is retarded. Given the situation that Chicago is in regarding the cap, where as they are literally FORCED to make moves, Atlanta could have played hardball and gotten so much more for so much less. Chicago actually got a great return and pretty much avoided any and all consequences we all thought they would face because of their cap hell. Thanks Atlanta, you just ruined what would have been the inevitable collapse of Chicago's team. Instead, you pretty much saved them.
