Hooking????
-
Flip dragged right down, no call
-
You have to be kidding me...
-
eek, they're getting some chances
-
Don't think thats the role he wants though. He's not gonna be getting the time he wants in goal ever again IMO.
-
Yeah but after the deadline, you can only call up people who were injured or from the minor league. You can't add another outside player, even in this instance......or so I would think.
-
Would of had to been before the deadline.

Flames up 1-0

I think we can guarantee this guy is getting resigned.

wtf is this now? Now Minnesota is getting great chances they shouldn't be. PLAY SOME DEFENSE GOD DAMN IT!

Thats it boys! Play with some balls!

this is it fellas.... I'm gonna come right out and say that IF we lose and both Calgary and Nashville win, we're done.

'It's only cause he's injured.......no wait! It's only cause he has bad line mates......no wait! It's cause he isn't working hard enough!....no wait!...' Some of those may be true......but how about maybe there is no real underlying reason? Maybe Hank is simply unable to produce like he was before. He had an amazing year in the 07-08, dropped off a bit the following season, and is gonna drop off even more this season. It happens......sometimes amazing players one year turn into not-so-amazing players the next. Look at Jonathan Cheechoo, the guy was a 50+ goal scorer at one point. This season? 5. Now I'm not saying this is for sure the case with Hank, but the more I watch him this season, the more I realize its a distinct possibility. Hopefully I'm wrong though and he'll press the "ON" button soon .

Who should we go after in FA this offseason?
ShanahanMan replied to GONGSHOW HOCKEY's topic in General
Ah....I seem to have a knack for missing sarcasm around here. Anyway, I'd say some changes are needed, but nothing too drastic. I mean, we have to remember this is a few players short the team that won it all just a few years ago. That being said, even when we had a full healthy lineup at the beginning of the season (Sweden and then against Chicago), we still didn't look good. I mean, St. Louis destroyed us IN Sweden, what the hell does that tell you? Also some players aren't playing up to their level (*cough* Hank, Ericsson *cough*) and need to step it up next season. So yea, it goes both ways. This team is as bipolar a team as I've seen one. Oh, and fire McCrimmon .....things going south with our defense right when he starts can NOT just be a mere coincidence. -

Unfortunately, even if Lids takes a drastic pay cut, we're still gonna be right up against the cap. Hommer HAS to be resigned, Helm is gonna be entitled to a bit of a raise, as is Eaves. I'm pretty sure we're gonna let Miller walk. Sadly, for some odd reason, Holland has come right out and said that he'd like to resign Maltby. Not to smart, but it would probably be league minimum (damn well better be). Lilja will prob. sign for the same amount, we'll let Lebda walk and then offer Meech a contract. I honestly have no idea what Holland plans to do with Bert and Williams. When all is said and done though, we'll prob. have enough funds for one (two if he doesn't resign williams and bert) solid scorer. These long NTC contracts we have have really come back to bite us in the ass. As I've said since day one, FOUR YEARS SHOULD BE THE ABSOLUTE LIMIT....and even then, should only be done with players you are as close to 100% sure will be solid down the line. I gotta say, Holland seems to sign people a bit too long. Sorry to say, but I do have growing concerns over that 12 year Zetterberg deal . Also, that 3 mil/year Cleary contract and 1+mil/year Draper contract aren't looking too good right now either. Anyway, point is, I don't see many changes being made this offseason......even though its more then obvious we need them.
