Well, regularly doesn't usually mean the last week or so, but hey......details, details .

A bit of a dry FA unfortunately this summer. I second Bobby Ryan but he's gonna be entitled to a GIGANTIC pay raise......he's RFA, so I'm not sure we'll be able to counter the Ducks' offer. I'd also love to see Marleau here but I doubt we can afford him, as this is his best (and "coincidentally" last on his contract) season. Frolov has the skill, but I do question the work ethic.......there have been a few times throughout the last few seasons that he's been benched. Not usually a good sign....but if we can grab him for a good deal, cool. Realistically, I'd love to see us go after Torres. I think he'd be a perfect fit here. Other then that, I don't think we can afford much, sadly......

I did a little stat. digging and found that just about every assist from a Sedin on a Sammy goal was in March. Like you said, there was a time when Sedin number 1 was injured and Sammy was playing with Sedin number 2 but I only saw a few goals he assisted on during that time, so it didn't make too big a difference. The truth is, the absolute majority of his goals were not assisted by the Sedins. That being said, since they've been obviously clicking together as a line since March, don't expect to see the line split up any time soon but do expect to see a lot more Sammy goals.

I've seen Burrows play with the Sedins all season long. In fact, tonight was the first night I've seen Samuelsson play on that line. Has he played on the top line before? Maybe......but the majority of the time has been Burrows/Sedin/Sedin.

it's cognitive dissonance. Posters like Crymson try to find excuses on why something isn't going the Wings' way to make themselves feel better and to make the wings look always in the right.. They make up circumstances that would seemingly be beyond the Wings organization control(ie playing with the Sedin twins) as a scapegoat. What's even sadder is they usually don't even come out and admit when they're wrong. Whatever, truth is, he simply turned out to be a damn clutch player and the wings sure as hell are not the same without him. I will be the first to admit that I grossly underestimated his importance.

Thats their problem. They are professional athletes getting paid millions to play a sport on a wordwide level. If the reason they're failing is because the pressure is getting to them, than they have no business playing. Or they can just take some anti-anxiety meds before a game or something...

Some of the players we/Holland expected to pick up the slack simply didn't. Zetterberg is having a HORRENDOUS season (and is starting to make me question that insanely long 12 year contract), Datsyuk is having a decent season, Franzen seems like he's still working on getting his groove back, Filppula is good at times and then god awful other times (ie tonight), Cleary isn't putting up any points, and also, we were counting on Leino for like 15+ goals. All that right there is a formula for disaster. In short, we simply overestimated the capability of our players.

Fair enough, but you have to understand frustration builds when you watch your team go down 2-0 in the first while fighting for a playoff spot. Those type of games against us usually don't end well.
