In a perfect world, hell yes. But I also have to be realistic at this point and acknowledge the fact that, on a team starved for offense, Williams will (hopefully) put up more points than Maltby would. But as I said, if we were scoring just somewhat more, I wouldn't mind seeing him shipped off for a jar of mayonnaise.

Leino is a young player in his rookie season, I'm willing to give him a bit more time. We saw flashes of what he can do last season......I don't wanna give up on him quite yet. In all honesty, I'd rather see Maltby attempt to be traded or waived then Leino. First off, Maltby is old, does not have much hockey left in him, and does just as little if not less then Leino. Plus, he would be VERY unlikely to be claimed off waivers while Leino would undoubtedly be. We can't afford to be keeping people for loyalty purposes anymore. As for May, I wouldn't really mind seeing him go. He was useful at the beginning of the season but has seemed to do jack s*** for the last few months. And as for defense, I'd really rather see Meech kept in the lineup over Lebda. So, my picks would be: May, Maltby, Lebda - BUH BYE.

Howard is by FAR the MVP on this team right now. Anyone who thinks otherwise is out of their mind.

All I know is that if we're gonna miss the playoffs, we better be WAY out of it. To me, 9th place is just as bad as 15th except 9th place doesn't reap all the benefits that 15th place gets to. If we don't make it, I hope we can at least finish as low as possible.......seriously. It's been a while since the Wings had a high round draft pick .

+1. And, like I always say, people seem to forget that for the first three games of the season we DID have a full, healthy lineup yet STILL did not look good.

Do you guys really think two players are gonna make that much difference? Babcock said it all in that recent interview. We're playing worse with more healthy players than we did when half our team was injured. That tells you a lot right there.
