Such an important game for both teams.......don't seem like they want to take any chances...
-
speaking of bad decisions in the definsive zone......wtf was that?
-
Thank you! Babcock said it ALL right there.
-
I'd offer you mine, but only one person can watch at a time on this...
-
Z.....uh, okay.

If we become sellers, who does Holland put on the trading block at the deadline? And don't flame me, it's a realistic and logical question.

uh-oh http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/20...t_has_spra.html

We have no choice, as its simply due to injuries. You honestly think it would take 2+ years for Babcock to slap himself on the forehead and say, "gee, actually, he DOES belong on the top two lines. Just didn't realize it until now". You are utterly insane to think he's even CLOSE to being in the same class as Malkin and Crosby.
-
I actually remember him getting pretty adequate time on the PP and second line toward the second half of last season. Plus, if he was truly a top 6 player, he would have shined through that third line spot and gotten pushed up. He didn't.

Back to the topic, as I mentioned before, I'd like to see Homer sent (only used as rental so we can get him back next season), as well as other players we plan on ditching anyway (Lebda mainly). Also, I'd love to see us make room for some young talent (not young "talent" like Abs and Leino but REAL talent) as we're simply too damn old and most of our current young guys don't cut it. I would LOVE to see Ralfalski and his horrid salary be loaded off somehow. Also, I like your idea about trading the rights to Hudler.
-
Yes, he has proved useful in the playoffs, but top 6 players don't finish seasons with just 40 points. Doesn't happen. Third line center at best.
-
meh....don't really like the argument. Pittsburgh's problem was solely due to very poor coaching, as they literally JUMPED the standings when he was replaced. I mean, you don't have a team with Malkin and Crosby on the same line and only have a .500 record unless theres something internally wrong. Our situation is different. We have an excellent coach and only "semi" (aging) allstars. I highly doubt getting a player like Guerin and replacing our coach will do jack for us.
-
Sorry bud, but Filp will NEVER be a top 6 player. Third line center at best.
-
And to make it worse, both Calgary AND Dallas got a point tonight.
-
I dunno, I'd be cool with giving up some players to be used as "rentals" if they're planning on coming back to us next season (ie Keith Tkachuk). Homer is one name that comes to mind that would fit well there as well as give us some nice assets as well. Also, players we're planning on ditching anyway (like Lebda) could maybe generate SOMETHING.
-
I'm sure we could squeeze some picks out of someone.....
-
funny guy, you get a gold star.

WHO THE f*** DID THAT? I MEAN, GAVE THE PUCK TO THEM? WHOEVER DID THAT NEEDS TO BE BENCHED, I MEAN THAT WAS JUST DISGUSTING.
-
I'm starting to think the same thing. I mean, theres no way it's just a "coincidence" that so many players are going down this season. It has to be because of the way their playing. They're LETTING themselves become injured.

Stuart gone

LGW - "I swear, it's just cause of injuries! Once we get our players back, we'll be unstoppable!"
-
so........ who do you guys think we'll be giving up at the trade deadline? Oh, and get Ozzy out of there and never let him in again.
-
and thats game buh bye playoffs!
