Giguere is all about positioning. You need big equipment to be good at that, I think if equipment was reduced Guiguere would defiantly not be the same.

Very true. I just don't know if we can trust a 42 year old goaltender to stay healthy. Yes he proved himself last year but he is at that day of age that seems very risky to keep pushing it. Although we really don't have much of another option so I defiantly want him to sign, besides the risks.

Ya we would need to pay too much to get him. I also don't think he is the best defensive defensemen either. It would be smarter just to sign Schneider for less money who is also great on the power play and is better playing the defensive part. But thats just my beliefs...

I give you a round of applause!!!!! Thats my thoughts exactly, I remember the year before he went to the leafs where he played for L.A I think it was where he was one of the top players in scoring. Age doesn't have a prime disadvantage as some of you guys may believe. Did Hasek, Chelios, Selanne, and Shanahan not have good seasons this year? I believe Allison has something to prove and with the amount of money we wouldn't have to spend to get this guy would be a great benefit for the future.

The fact is the league probably wont decrease the equipment size since they seem to focus more on making the net bigger instead. If anything changes it will be the net first.
