I don't think it was a very smart trade on Murray's part. The draft is quite deep this year with talent, and to give up a first round pick for these guys, just doesn't seem worth it in my eyes. I guess Murray is only thinking of the present, rather then the future...

I think its very unlikely that we will see a goalie heading our way before the deadline. Conklin had done everything we have asked from him, and Ozzie is just too close to the organization to be shipped away. Hopefully Howard playing tommorow is a wake up call, and gets Ozzie's ass back on gear. I'll be honest, my confidence with Ozzie in net has faulted quite drastically, but I still believe he can prove himself in 2008 form. Sure the bounces haven't gone right, and the defense maybe below par, but the guy has got to admit too himself that his play is unacceptable. Excuses only go so far...

My Parents friend was once a teacher for Theo and she told me all sorts of intresting stories of his youth. His dad abused him and was a alcoholic. When Theo was in hockey he wore things he needed duck taped to himself to stay on, and while all the other kids made fun of him he continued persuing to play.Hearing that Iv'e always had a soft spot for the guy.

No matter how good Sammy does people still feel to bash him. Personally I like the guy, and with 10 points in 12 games I will continue to like him. Sammy isn't the player to be expandable right now, highly considering his salary and performance rate.

Mindless idiots? 4 cups the man has brought us, and we are mindless idiots.... By having just one enforcer out there will not change anyones approach against the Wings. Our team is not physically tough, thats not how we play! Having one guy might stop the goons from doing something stupid, but it won't stop them from laying the body. People make it sound as if we have Downey in the lineup we are all of a sudden, a puck possesion team, that as tough as f**k too. If it gets out of hand, then we need more change then just Downey, our whole fourth line would need too change into a grinding physicality role. But for all the people that think Downey would change everything, he really wouldn't.

Ive never liked Lebda, and never will. The man pinches almost everytime I see him out there and it gets me pissed as f**k when he does so considering nothing ever develops. To single out one guy isn't entirely fair because all defensemen have been struggling, but Lebda in my eyes has proven to always be the weakest link out there.

Kronwall is like Samson. Amazing with his long hair, but then as soon as it was cut, he lost almost everything.
