The jokes toward Sammy have been old for awhile, and everytime I have to read a bash post against him I just roll my eyes. It has really lost its touch..... I have nothing against the guy, never did, and I never even had expectations from him in the first place. The guy gets payed 1.4 million and still puts up productive points for his wage. That is good enough for me.

Pavel Bure would be my first pick from all those selections. The guy will always remind me of Datsyuk

Edmonton looks to be more of a threat this year then before. They got better, and even with the # of injuries they had last year the team still managed to play over par. Its just one of those teams that scare me when facing them.

Great to see Filppula signing a long term deal with us, and though it does look like an overpayment right now, in the long turn it will most likely become a steal.

With the defensive core we have, I really don't see a major point in spending money on Chelios. I do hope to see Quincey stay with Detroit and show what he can really do, and as long as we can get McCarty and Downey on two way contracts it could all work out.

He is an amazing guy, dont get me wrong, but is it really smart to re-sign him? With the low cap space now, and the huge log jam on defense, I just do not know if its the greatest idea in bringing the veteran back. Sure its good to have him for insurance reasons, but we already have guys like Lilja, Lebda, Quincey, Meech, and Ericcson to fill in that void. Im just worried whether having him hear effects the young players growth, and starts getting in the way for our upcoming guys. I personally think we do not need him anymore, and hope Holland feels the same way. Now all though Holland said Chelios was close to re-signing, he never knew we were gonna land Hossa, and that the cap space was much more limited. I don't know if this changes his approach on things, but I do wonder whether or not he now thinks twice in signing Chelios again.

I actually have a feeling that the Dallas Stars will come out of the Pacific on top. San Jose would be 3rd in my books, and then the East would take place.

As someone mentioned, he is exactly like Maltby. I ask myself everyday how the hell Maltby never ever drops the gloves, and yet, gets away with his comments scratch/bruise free.

TBH I would rather see Helm then Maltby in the lineup

The one thing that would piss me off if I were a Pengiuns fan, is the slap in the face with him leaving a amazing team in the Pittsburgh Penguins, to a team he believes is better, and has a greater chance to win a cup next year.
