Did i read it right, because it sounded to me like he just said wings will not win consecutive stanley cups...Ha, well assface, whatever helps you sleep at night. All I can say is I sleep pretty well with my brand new, red wings Hossa jersey beside me.

Considering we just signed Lilja, I don't see any reason why we should bring Chelios back too. I really do not think we need both of them, espicially Chelios.

With the money Holland is offering to Lilja, I think Kenny knows that this guy can't be our #4 defensemen. I won't be suprised if we someone else in a winged wheel before the summer is up.

Sometimes you gotta make a gamble to improve, and thats what Florida did. This team isn't favoured to win much anyway, so they can risk takin these types of gambles over other teams. I mean what if they do screw up, and the player doesn't perform up to his standards....well it doesn't really matter because its only the Florida Panthers. Thats mentality they can run with. -
The real truth is a guy like Liles probably shouldn't get 4 Million a year. Its a definiate over payment in my books, but I am not a GM so....

If we manage to swing a guy like Sundin to Detroit, I don't see any point trying to also attain another forward guy like Federov, or Naslund. We could easily find a replacement for Drake (Nolan would be the best bet) and the forwards would be set. Im more concerned about finding a replacement for Stuart then anything. I guess we will just have to wait and see...

Offense isn't the problem for Tampa. They need quality defense besides Boyle, and have to hope that Smith can lead them the way.

For people worrying about Emery screwing around in the locker room, they got to remember the veterans Detroit have, and how they wouldn't take that s*** from him. Emeryalso needs to find his confidence back, and its about time Howard gets his chance, so no thanks...

That is why I have not once bashed Sammy ever on these boards. To get payed only 1.4 Million and putting up 40 points is more then fine by me. I would also have to pick Sundin over Rolston, even if we only get Mats for a year. This guy is outstanding for his age, and to put up numbers while playing with guys like Antropov and Ponikorovsky (however u spell it) is damn impressive to me. Not too mention I have always loved the guy.
