Well im gonna answer this thread, rather then complaining about how many Hasek threads there are, and how he gets bashed. I do find that a waste of energy. Hasek is 43 years old. It is very tough to perform in NHL level when your body gets worn down soo much faster. I know back in his earlier days. Most of those Nashville goals would have never found the back of the net. He had a rough season this year, even though he had 28 wins, he was never really his dominator self. Too many injuries and set backs made Hasek struggle to find his groove back. I'll be honest, I didn't have much faith at all in Hasek going into the playoffs. I knew he wasn't the same as he was last year. But I hear too many excuses saying most goals were not his fault. We could find excuses for every single goal he lets in, but what good does that do. In the end of the day, Hasek didn't play all that good, and now its Ozzie turn to lead this squad.

What I do not understand is why everyone expects him to be soo good. Im never really dissapointed with Sammys play, mainly due to the fact that I have never really expected much out of him. Though for some reason, everyone wants the 1.4 million dollar player to be some superstar. Everytime I watch the wings, I always notice Sammy out there. Probably cause he shots alot, but at least he makes himself known.

Id have rather seen Abdelkader, but ow well. Good luck to you Helm!

You know I do have to admit, I love to see what people think need to be changed with the team when we start losing some in the playoffs. I mean, it just makes this site so much more entertaining!

He is getting chances, and with his skill its only a matter of time before he gets going. To think, people are actually questioning one of the star players on this team. Its not just the offensive side he brings, I think alot of people forget that. This guy backchecks more then any player I know in the league. He is our most defensive forward we have, right beside Drapes.
