McCarty over Downey! Yikes................................not happy about that! I love Darren and all, but Downey has proved that he knows how to be an enforcer out there, and the energy he brings is amazing. Well hopefully game 2 then...

Exactly People bash him so much that it makes it SOUND like they expect him to be Dats or Z-Dawg. I never ever stated he was a allstar player, I said for the amount of money he makes, he is doing good. Sure he is not the most physical player out out there, but it really doesnt matter cause I never ever expected him to be anyway, and In the playoffs, I always find him to be at times, "rough". Sammy doesn't back down, and as long as he sticks up for himself, then its all good to me. The way people are defending him make sense, no one ever made him out to be "the s***". Its the people that bash him that make no case as of why, except that he shoots at the goalies crest too much. last time I checked, Babs tells him to shoot more. Im also sure that a Downey, or a McCarty wouldnt have scored 2 goals to get us passed the Sharks, so Im all in favor for the more scoring in playoffs. I find, We are very lucky to have a 3rd line player who scored 40 points this year. Downey or Abs over Sammy....EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Im also a huge Abs fan!

I think he was just attacking Sammy there I am one of the few here, who have nothing against Sammy at all. Most here for some reason, seem to really expect this guy to be a Datsyuk or Zetterberg, which as you may know, is completly ridicolous. The guy signed for 1.4 million dollars, and he put up 40 points, not too shabby for me. He also likes to show up at playoff time, so its great to see him back!

I remember game 2, round 1, in 2002, when wings were on the power play and the Joe started to chant "Shoot The Puck", not long after Lids slaps one past Cloutier.....Beautiful! I don't care what chant I here as long as the Joe is loud!!!

It feels like its been a year without the redwings since Sunday

I love TSN, as they support Hockey soo much, but that was just pathetic the way they handled the Wings last night. All though it is nice that we are flying under the radar, I just hope Wings can shut up all those non believers (Pierre) and beat them San Jose or Anahiem Ducks. Thank god for James Dutchie who predicted NY Rangers and Wings to meet in the finals at the begging, and stick with it. At least he doesn't under estimate the Wings's power. If we can get consistent goaltending from Hasek, then I believe we have the best team there is.

god I hope so This kid plays physical, works hard, and considering he has loved the Wings for his whole life, He will completly energetic for the playoffs
