there are more then 2 options to build a team. Its not like just because Clowes here it means we are postponing a rebuild. In a perfect world you get a player like Clowe that would help us, and rid of flips who isn't and is a UFA (seeking $ that i consider monkey business)

I don't think its the young guns at fault today, but our floaters. Gus had the best chance of the game, with a few scoring chances. Players like Cleary/Miller/Emmerton/Eaves cant produce offensively but its seems Babs finds this ok because they are such tremendous Pkers...which really isn't true and hasn't been for a long time

When you don't have more drive then teams like CBJ, or the Calgary Flames, and can't muster up anything offensively then i would give Howie the benefit of the doubt. If he does become a problem, this team is only seeing a shortened regular season

In 8 games our bottom 6 forwards have tallied 0 goals, n' 1 assist (which was on the pp for Eaves). I know with the absence of Helm we could see a bit of a struggle, but apparently we need him healthy to see anything coming from our secondary scoring. Its almost at the part Babs needs to shake things up... Our PK is bad enough where its hard for me to justify Cleary, Miller, and Emmerton being dressed every night. If theres no fight to make this roster, then I dont see some players giving it their best to stay on it. He's got to create more competition, I mean Dats and Zetterberg can only do so much. Thoughts?

Unfortunately when even the coaches say the best players play, there has to be someone you can make a case for thats been better the cleary. If thats not the case, wings need a better bottom 6. It's a "what have you done for me lately" expectation, because if there wasn't one, i then ask where the hell did drapes go?!?!

Cleary should not be on the starting roster let alone power play. Our 2nd pp unit seems so out of sync this year. Smith just needs some time but I believe eventually he could be rock solid for us.
