Yeah, I was nervous about the first 10-15 minutes 'cause everyone knew the Sharks would come out flying. But the Wings pulled through. Best of all, Hasek got to make his customary gaffe-from-which-he'll-recover-by-slamming-the-door-shut without it resulting in a goal. -

Here's hoping , but even if we win they'll still find something to moan about. Unfortunately, the only way to keep them happy is to get dodecahedral on everyone's ass (i.e., win 12 games in a row) - and you know that's not going to happen. I'm sure there were people out there who thought we were going to suck in 1997-98 because we couldn't hold on for the shutout in Game 4.

Utter crap. "Hockey players are not warriors, and they are not courageous"?! By the way, the Islanders beat Toronto by one point for the final playoff spot by virtue of their shootout win against New Jersey in the last game of the regular season. (Toronto would've won the tiebreaker had the Islanders lost.)

Would've been nice, though with the PPs late in the game it was good strategy not to force any point shots or passes lest a hard bounce out of the zone turn into a shorthanded breakaway for Calgary.
