Hrm. The next two days are going to drive me insane: If we beat the Preds, the Central is still up for grabs. If we lose, the Central will certainly not be clinched, but the Wings will be more firmly locked into fourth place (especially knowing how hard a time we have playing against the Columbuses of the world ). In that case, losing to Dallas would blow, but beating Dallas and letting them fall behind San Jose would blow, too.

Brett's at the hospital for observation, looks like a concussion. Ville put a hit on him and it ended up being shoulder to back into the boards. They said he actually went to the hospital to check on Brett. :!: -

VALTTERI!!!! Way to rush the net! -
And I don't mean 2 years and 53 games. Of course, the Leafs have wasted it by blowing a 3-goal lead in the 3rd. 5-4 Buffalo with 1:30 left.

You know Buffalo was playing badly when they gave up two goals to Boyd. But boy, they really had the Leafs on their heels at the end.

This is so wrong ... that's what I call man-love for Shanny. Shanahan is old enough to be Lohan's dad. That's worse than the trannys. Surely then he must've done it for "Party Mom" Dina.

Good stuff. Edmonton, April 11th. The Chicago game mentioned in the graphic was April 13th (won 7-3).

Playoff-race tracker - lists magic numbers as well as standings Interesting analysis: I show Buffalo clinching a playoff spot even though NHL.com doesn't mark them as such. A first look at the numbers doesn't confirm this, but consider: * Buffalo clinches if no more than seven teams max out above 98 points (Buffalo's current total) or at 98 points with winning tiebreakers. * At first glance, New Jersey through the Islanders (2-7) plus Toronto and the Rangers (9-10) can mathematically catch Buffalo (eight teams). Carolina cannot catch Buffalo as they max out at 98 points but would lose the first tiebreaker with only 45 wins. * However, Toronto and the Rangers cannot both catch Buffalo because they have one more game against each other (April 1st). One maxing out at 99 means the other maxes out at 98. Either would lose the tiebreaker against Buffalo. Thus Buffalo as of last night has clinched a playoff spot.

Black Eye for NHL & Stanley Cup?

Me too. Surely that's the idea, to give the League and the PA that "never-want-to-see-that-again" feeling. -
Andrew Ference comes to mind.

Good point. An inch inside on just a couple of his posters last year and we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

I woke up early for this?! I think now's a good time to take a nap.
