apparently UFA Jason allison is coming back after a year off. Does anyone think hed be worth the potential low risk/high reward situation? hes been just under a point a game player for his whole career and even had 60 points in 66 games in his most recent stint with the leafs. Yes, i know about the injury problems but maybe the layoff has done him some good. Hes got a nice big frame and i always liked how hard he played. i cant imagine he would demand that much money because he knows hes a risk. again, im just asking so dont chop my head off here

very good point. the thought of yashin in washington had crossed my mind as well. ovechkin needs a center like i need a BJ and it certainly wouldnt hurt him to have a Russian one....a center that is, not a BJ

his size is certainly appealing and he was pretty good the second half of this season. but ive read that he wants a 5yr 15 million dollar contract. if we can get him for 2mil and 2-3 yrs that would be fine with me

just got a message from a friend of mine saying that a 3 way deal between the sharks/sabres/canadiens is about to go down. apparently sj would get drury while marleu would go to montreal. no word on who buffalo would aquire. im not sure what his source was but i can say that he is a very knowledgable hockey fan who would not jump the gun on info like this if he thought it was bogus. i love my friend and i trust him but damn i hope hes wrong. i said after we beat the sharks that Drury would be the player to put them over the hump..........i just didnt think it would actually happen!!!!!!! look out boys the sharks could be a LOT better now.

i doubt buffalo lets him go, hes only going to get better. id argue that hes a bigger priority for them then briere is due to their age. but i do agree with 5 mil being a little high for one good season. id say 3-4 mil is more appropriate. wish the wings could get him though

ill be very dissapointed as well as disgusted if hes not suspended for the rest of the series. obviously the one game for the hit on holmstrom didnt teach him anything. if pronger wants to act like a child then you have to treat him like one.........first a time out and if that doesnt work you ground him

if we won and a ducks player refused to shake hands id consider it par for the course and i wouldnt lose any sleep no, i dont think we were brought up differently. maybe it is classless NOT to shake hands but so are a lot of things the Ducks did in this series. i guess im just struggling to see why you make such a big deal out of chelios' actions and not the ducks

first off, no im probably not old enough to remeber "dirty" chelios. but im not a child. im assuming you think im 13 or something but im 25. so lets leave maturity out of this.......we're talking about a 45 yr old for christ sake. second, if you cant admit that the ducks are a reckless bunch of bafoons then youre out of your mind. do you really think theres a kid out there asking "daddy why is the man whos older than you, not shaking the hands of the dirty players on the other team"???? all the pundits in the media kept saying that the ducks needed to play more disaplined but what none of them understood was that anehiem isnt capable of that. its their game. they play out of their heads agressive and hope that they score enough to offset their senseles penalties. third, and most importantly, when someone puts on the winged wheel you support them regardless of what your past impressions of them are. if someone is willing to sweat and bleed for us then im behind them 100% no matter what they may have done. case in point.....i hated bertuzzi before he came here..........but i think hes been nothing but classy and like him a lot now. i really hope he gets resigned. and i hope you get traded

im sorry but i dont see how next years team needs to be a whole lot better than this years team................i mean this team certainly had a good shot at winning the cup. our failure this year was not due to lack of ability

i dont think theres been a more pleasant surprise in all of sports this year. Hasek has been wonderful. if he wants to come back i say let him. i think it was a 3-way tie for wings playoff MVP between Hasek, Cleary, and Lidstrom.....and that says a lot it think. youre on drugs if you think Hasek was in any way shape or form, responsible for our playoff exit. if hasek comes back and we make a few minor changes next year, i think we are one of about 3-4 teams who would be cup favorites. if he doesnt come back, then i think we drop off a whole lot. there arent a whole lot of FA goalies to sign and while id like to see howard play, i think he would essentially waste all of our strengths (not his fault, but you just cant mix a goalie on a learning curve with a team thats poised for the cup)

a good role model to the kids??? absolutely!!!!! why should a team that embodies everything thats wrong with sports today be respected with a handshake? youre full of s*** or stupid if you cant admit that the Ducks are a classless bunch of goons that dont EVER deserve the cup. the ducks first goal was set up and scored by 2 players who, in my opinion, shouldnt even be playing right now. i love cheering for a team that win or loose is never a tarnish on the league. if anyoe has been around long enough to know when to not shake hands, its Chelios. i gaurantee you that the majority of the redwing roster didnt want to shake hands but bottom line they still have something to loose.......chelli could give half a s*** about what all of you are saying, the man has been through it all. and he acted very appropriatly. im so damn proud of this team and i cant wait until next year LETS GO REDWINGS :!: :!: :!:

i see no reason not to go with Hudler. i was all for kopecky a few games ago, and not that hes played terrible, but he hasnt really offset what calder was doing when he was in the lineup. maybe another shiffty creative player can give the ducks D more problems than someone who might get 2 hits a game?? ps - i dont know why but ive never missed having juri fisher in the lineup as much as i have this post season

bowman said it in 02 and i think it holds true today..........over a 7 game series our depth will wear them down. it wont be easy but nothing worth while ever is. lets not forget that weve played pretty damn well in their building and i like our chances at home for a game 7. were not done yet!!!
