finish reading the article, he says the puck will NOT bear a chip, instead a puck tracking system will be put in use during play analysis... just like when Mickey uses the telestrator. This could be a great idea as long as it's not used during play... otherwise I'll sue Bettman.

okay, i understand angles, but look at the paint instead. the puck is clearly on the other side of the red goal-line's paint. deceiving angle or not, the paint is the tell tale sign. this kind of stuff drives me crazy, why are there such goofy rules, the puck is obviously in. I blame Bettman, ha.

i don't find that funny at all. i get the joke, i understand why it's supposed to be funny. but as a hockey fan, we take enough heat from people that think hockey is stupid... that broadcast wasn't much different than a real life sportscenter show, so I don't find it funny at all. screw those guys.

playing a guy with little or no NHL hockey skill, who barely can put on a check because he's too slow and such a sloppy skater, over a guy with tons of experience, good hands, and holds a semi-leadership role is completely insane in my book. All Downey can do is fight, NOTHING ELSE. The Conference Finals is not a place for a guy like that. If he makes it into our lineup, that would mean we have major injury issues, scary. I will never understand the love for this guy.

Oh man, that's a tough one. I can't see any reason to have a fighter in the conference finals, neither team is going to risk sitting in the box. Maltby is undoubtedly quicker and has better hands. I'm glad I'm not Babcock. Plus, I know neither Maltby and McCarty are centers, but by swapping those two means that Helm stays in the lineup. So we're swapping experience for experience while keeping inexperience in place. If it were me, I think Drake would be in the discussion too. I think he and Maltby are the ones that should be interchangeable, and I'd MUCH rather have Malts in the lineup than Drake.

i want dallas to win tonight and all series to finish up sunday. i want it to be as even as possible, the same amount of rest for both teams (one less day for the wings). We've played every other night in round 01, and only one exception in round 2... for some reason the grueling pace has been perfect for us. We're not going to start until at least Tuesday anyway, any longer and I won't like it.

i believe embellishing an injury by bringing your hand to your face is a little different than laying motionless on the ice after putting your team up 1-0 in a playoff game. this is my last post, clearly you guys like Jagr. IMO, he is a ****** and he drives it home with his dumb hitler stache.

no, if you're legitimately injured and can't get yourself off the ice before the trainer gets to you, and you have to leave the game, then you're a real hockey player. if you lay on the ice after a playoff goal that keeps you in the series but you're not even going to miss a shift because the injury wasn't even minor, then you're a baby. by the way, I must retract my Canadian's only comment! I know Homer wouldn't do what Jagr just did either. I just immediately think of people like Yzerman who would never do that and he happens to be Canadian. It was a gut reaction on my part. So yes, I agree with the second poster, he's a baby in general, has nothing to do with nationality.

San Jose has looked like a pee-wee caliber team, so I take Dallas out of the mix. Detroit has been great, some of the best hockey of the year. But the Penguins are the surprise for me, they play a similar game to us. If both teams are lucky enough to make the finals, it will be a helluva series. My money will be on the Wings because, well you know, but otherwise, it's very even.

too bad. if it were possible to mute the broadcasters and only listen to rink sound, I would do it in a heart beat. I don't see why it's not possible to broadcast 5.1 sound with the HD games and put only rink sound on channels 3&4. That would rule.

SCORRRRRRE! That moron Emrick is doing the Rangers / Pens game right now. Which means we will have someone else tonight!!!! awesome. Maybe it will be Dave Strader... that would RULE. It's weird that I'm more excited about not having to listen to Emrick than I am about the game in general. haha.

I think the media always asks stupid questions and I like when the person being asks goes off on them (I remember when Lloyd Carr made a reports look like an ass while heading to the locker room before halftime). But a question about Marleau is definitely warranted. He's been non-existent. Wilson's ALWAYS been a d-bag though.
