You have it backwards... Sather just traded a 1st, 2nd and a rental... St. Louis is on a tear with no help this year, won the hart last year, and is signed through next year.

I don't see Holland making a deal. Even in the playoff race we are not sitting in a good situation to make a solid push at the cup. With Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Weiss, Helm, all out and no idea when they will be back why sell kids to make something small happen. Only way we make something happen if its for ehrhoff or elder I believe at this point. Just to land a D and I think he is looking more at Ehrhoff then anybody so if it isn't him, then we do nothing.

Thank you, the only thing I will say is that rebound goal. It was a bad rebound to give up by Howard but somehow zajac comes through, picks up the puck and can find time to get control and back hand it in.

At what point during this season did we have a full roster to prove this?

Have you watched Thomas as of late. So when Thomas retires the following season. Just throw Mrazek in right? Stop thinking this is the cup winning Thomas, he doesn't exist anymore. If your going if past performances. We should try to get hasek back, he was awesome. The problem is not trading Howard, it's adding a dman that can make the right play and the right passes. Kronwall needs help.

I don think people understand how s*** trickles down. When you are missing your top players, the kids have to play against top pairs instead of 2nd, 3rd pairs. Which then has our weakest lines that shouldn't be in the NHL on the ice for 1/2 the game. When we don't have your top centers, the defense has to make up for them as well, in the zone D is a 3 man system, s***ty centers help break down our d coverage. Go figure that s***ty D means s***ty goaltending because of all the chances, turnovers, bad coverage and fatigue but hey let's just blame Howard, obviously his fault lol

I do love how Ericsson spearing the puck out of Howard's glove and no one picking up the rebound guy that was behind the D was also Howard's fault. He could have done a better job controlling the rebound but he also didn't let it sit 3 feet dead center in front of him off a quick shot by jagr. It's pretty easy to blame Howard when our D is playing terrible and out centers are lead by Anderson lol

This sucks to watch. I want to hate on our play but I havnt watched the entire game, but it also doesn't help that we are injury riddled beyond belief again... It's getting old real fast

I agree with no Penalty Shot, It wasn't covered it was scooped under the goalie which is legal.

I don't understand how people really think Pasha would rather go to the Olympics in "non game shape" and a month + off instead of playing and going in "in game shape." Pavel Datsyuk would want to go into the Olympics at the top of his game and full steam, not go in after not playing a month plus. So no I don't buy the crap that he is faking an injury. I do believe he wants to make sure he is a 100% healthy before he plays so that he doesn't end up hurt again in a week and miss another month.

I think he problem is all of that stuff was supposed to be done and is way past deadline and won't be completed in time for the Olympics. I know I heard a lot about a lot of the hotels not being finished in time and so forth

Do people think we really are sellers, were 1 point out if playoffs and that while being not healthy. If were healthy we are maybe a D man short of being a real contender. Add a forward if Franzen is long term...

11 games is close to almost 3 weeks time if not more, add the fact I think Datsyuk rather go into the Olympics are game speed and game conditioning and not just practice shape. Players always miss more games in a shortened season and it shows a lot more with an older team like us.

Didn't expect to compete tonight, you can't win on a regular basis with your top 3 out, Weiss (I know he didn't produce but he is still better then done others out there and then no Howard. Blame it on no heart and no drive, or we need to trade this guy or that guy but face it.... We were completely over matched, out gunned and depleted. It's not a cop out when it's the truth.
