I'm going to be in class all day so I can't watch the game! I think Calgary will finally play hard...I can see them really fighting for the win. That said, I hope the Wings come out just as strong as they have been! No predictions...just hopes that the Wings will play amazingly and take the 3-0 series lead!

What a game! I'm so proud of Flip and Lidstrom always amazes me. Calgary looked a bit better today as far as controlling their frustration (Iginla in particular) but they still didn't look as good as I'd thought they would. I'm nervous about playing in Calgary, though. Hopefully we can continue the way we are playing. Oh, and if Bert is confirmed for game 3, I hope he gets a few good hits on Iginla. :x

Ooh. I'm from Chicago and I grew up with a Dad who idolized the Blackhawks. He'd make me go to the games with him and he'd dress me up in shirts that said "Blackhawks Girl" and stuff. XD I liked hockey, but I always wanted some kind of reaction from my Dad because he is funny when he's pissed. Growing up my Dad's favorite phrase was "Detroit Sucks," so I adopted the Wings as my own in order to make my Dad angry. After a while, though, I started to love the Wings...they were the first team I'd ever rooted for, etc., so they became "mine" in a way. Hmm. This sounds like the memoir of an 80 year old woman. >_>

Tazzer, that picture is great. I only hope that now that the pressure for that first goal is off of Datsyuk, he'll start scoring more of those pretty little things. Also, Dats seemed kinda different tonight. ;p Usually he doesn't celebrate his goals right? He did this little awkward arm pump thing tonight...kinda cute. XD

I've gotta say that I was really disappointed in Iginla tonight...how embarassing for the Flames to be represented by a Captain who acts like a 3rd grader. I can't imagine Lidstrom acting the same way, and I'm glad for that. >_> That being said, I'm trying to find the right balance between cocky and humility now...I hope the Wings will find that balance too and be confident while still showing they want to win it all on Thursday. Cockiness could be no good.

I'm too nervous to make a prediction and far too superstitious anyhow...I just hope the Wings go out and actually act like they want to win this series! I've found that lately I have been mildly disappointed if goals are scored by Cleary, Sammuelson, etc. because I want to see Datsyuk and Hudler really stepping up, but for this series, I'm good with any goal. >_> One-Timer, Break away, or deflection...all the same to me! XD

All season long, I have been hoping that we finish 2nd or 3rd in the West, just because playing an 8th seeded team seems to fare badly for us. >_> It's probably more superstition than anything else, but I am going to bite my fingernails off if we have to play 8th...especially Minnesota. It seems like it's always some crazy goalie who goes on turbo and Fernandez has the potential to do that. But he is injured at the moment, right?
