Its nice to be able to have Ozzie on the team, He was born to be a wing. and yes I've been down on him at times as many of us fellow Wings fans have, I remember the good times of him holding the cup high, and smiling in the locker room why Ray Lane interviewed him. Ozzie is a son of Detroit and the best backup goalie in the league hands down. Ozzie will own the Flames tonight.

We went to Pittsburgh last year to watch the Caps play the Pens, Wanted to see Ovechkin play and he wasn't coming to Detroit last season, so we had to go to the next closest arena and hey why not see Sid the Kid and Malkin while were at it right? also Mellon Arena isn't going to be around much longer so I wanted to check that out as well.

what are you kidding me Osgood has the coolest mask in the league. on a serious note, Its all about comfort only another goalie would understand, every peice of equiptment a goalie wears has to be PERFECT. he obviously prefers a combo mask, like a few others in the league. Go with whats right as long as Osgood keeps the puck out of the net I don't care if he wears a welding mask. moving on

I'm with you Viperar all the way, I didn't like the idea of new jerseys at first and as a hockey player myself they look restrictive rather than make it easier to play the game . but it seems as though the players are adjusting to them just fine. even the goalies who it will affect the most. I agree with you 100% on it being a better thing for a fan, The old style jerseys are nice and everything but they feel bulky and wearing it makes you feel like your swimming in it. the new ones will look nice to wear casually I haven't got one yet, but I'm going to pick up a new Datsyuk jersey really soon at HockeyTown Authentics, hopefully they will have the A on it already. My little brother and I plan on taking a trip to Washington this year and were going to get a Ovechkin jersey at the game, I was just wondering is it cheaper to get them before hand online before we go or is it a better idea to get one at Verizon Center?? Don't need a authentic one or anything the replica will be fine but the new caps jerseys besides the Wings are probably the best looking jersey in the league now, Red and White both look nice. oh yeah and I really like the V neck with the the new NHL platinium logo, looks nice

Should be a good game tonight, like someone else already mentioned Calgary have had a terrible start to the season and will be playing hard to get a win, Osgood will be a little rusty I'm sure but he will play great the later it gets into the game. Wings win 4-2 Pavel is due and has been playing great, Z will most likely get one the way he has been skating, and Homer will score once again tonight. can't stop the D-Z-H line lets take it to them

Being a goaltender myself I understand what he is going through. Sometimes a weird shot out of nowhere finds itself hitting you in just the right place to miss the padding or hit little padding. I've been hit a few times right around the knee and above on the lower thigh, it doesen't hurt real bad when it happens and doesen't usually bother you until after your done skating and your muscles cool down. It should take a good 2 weeks or so to be back to normal. but most skate way before that time, but if you get hit in the same spot a second time before its healed, that is truly painful. Osgood needs to get a few early games in also and Dom needed a break anyways. I say they should play Osgood tonight, then Dom on Friday.

Can't wait for game time, I'm alittle disappointed with how last game turned out but the Wings played hard. can't win them all. Wings will win tonight, Pavel will score along with Rafalski again. and Filppula aswell. Wings win 3-2 Lets bring another Win home boys

After watching hockey games on both FSN Detroit, VS, NBC, and CBC. I notice a huge difference in the picture. I know they use different cameras and everything but for some reason VS television feed is terrible and hurts the eyes alittle bit watching. The ice is way way to bright and makes it harder to follow the puck. Just wondering if anyone else notices this or is bothered by their broadcast. CBCs feed has always been darker than the others but I'd rather have darker than to bright. VS HD feed and Standard Def are both bad in my opinion.

He runs his mouth and cheap shots every game, hes been doing it since the minors in London, On. VS sucks. yes he wears number 8 because he mom wore that number, his mom was a Olympic gold medalist like you guys were saying in Basketball but his Father was also a pro athelete, a soccer player in Moscow. I heard most of it, and liked how they asked him if he had any dirt on Datsyuk and he said no, hes a good guy I hang out with him in Moscow. and they asked him if he invites any of his teammates over to play basketball and he said Semin has came over and hung out but thats about it. does anyone know why he is in Detroit today though? doesen't make any sense. or did he do the interview from somewhere else?? I can't wait to go to the Wings/Caps game this year going to be sold out most likely but should be a good game. Capitals are going to be alot better this year and a team to look out for in the East, I predict they will make the playoffs this year.

I agree with you as well. I like to support the mom and pop shops rather than the other but Little Caesars and Red Wings go hand in hand, I guess it works out that both are owned by the same guy huh. I just miss the good old days when the used to have Red Wings stuff, like the bobbleheads they used to have at Little Caesars. and I also remember back in 02' and 98' Arby's did collector glasses with the Wings on them that I still own and use to this day. you could always write Little Caesars corporate and request selling a franchise to someone in Buffalo, they need to expand ever more than they already have.
