haha I can't stand Pronger. Donger talking trash in the shower is no suprise. don't forget hes 6'6 guys

I think he could have said more about Perry, Perry is a punk and doesen't belong talking crap and threating people. I would love to see Big Bert get his hands on that little weasel. I know that stuff goes on a lot in the league but it was dumb for Versus to air that comment for all the young players watching hockey and looking up to all the Pros, a guy like that shouldn't be looked to for a role model. I didn't expect Don Cherry to stick up for Sammy and Datsyuk because they are not Canadian players but he should have pointed out threats are not a part of hockey and they don't belong in the game. Clean checks and clean fights yes, but cheap shots and threats no. Perry will get his

I agree thier is a difference in playing gritty and playing dirty.

Should be another tough game, but the Wings will come out strong again. Wings win another close one. Good luck guys

Atlanta's is cool similiar to ours but louder. Washington's is awesome, I've loved theirs for years. and Montreals is unique. Oilers horn sounds like a train coming which is cool but haunting for us now.

Finally game 1. Should be a tough game but I have complete faith in the Red Wings. Time to show the Ducks what HockeyTown is all about. Wings win a close one. Good luck guys.

I already made a thread for this

Nah Datsyuk and Nabby are fine, have to stay proffessional. Nabby won't be going to play in Moscow now will he?? Might be alittle late, They are beating the Czechs right now 3-0. Eremenko and Koshechkin have been playing good as far as I've heard but Nabokov would really help.

With all the injuries lately their has been a lot of talk about our defense and how they have been playing consitent. and Dani Markov hasn't been brought up very often. I feel that he has added another layer to our game that we needed from last year. He has brought the physical but smart play to the table and has been steady with his game. Along with Cheli and Lilja now playing physical as ever, has our defense being so physical suprised the other teams, and Markov's play been a factor playing with Nick. Considering how well Nick plays, Dani seems as though he has played with the Wings for a long time. Markov's play reminds me a lot of Vladdy's. none the less all of our defensemen have been physical and technically sound for the most part, even Kyle Quincey.

I couldn't agree more, Kira. and I know Dmitriy feels the same way as well. BTW I like the new Signature Picture also Kira "Raw Emotion" the look on Pavs face is priceless

Back in the air, about a hour and a half until they land at metro.

lol now they are talking about how Buffalo hasn't really had to leave the state so far these playoffs, and the wings have to go back and forth back and forth across the country and into wester Canada.

As a fellow goaltender I have to disagree guys, Giggy does seem like he uses bigger stuff but every goaltender is different some like their pads more snug and tight to their body some find it to constricting. If you want to see a goalie who uses way way over sized pads check out. Garth Snow when he played used the biggest stuff he could find. Giggy uses bigger pads but I'm quite sure they are legal. Giggy is a technically sound goalie and plays almost flawless angles, He doesen't have to speed and reflexes as some of the other NHL goaltenders though. another interesting fact about him is he uses a straw on his water bottle. If anyone has been wondering why he does this, is because he has a condition where he sucks to much air along with his water, and it makes him puke. with all that said, Go Wings

the guy is playing with pure heart, and it shows with his play. He is never giving up and I think that everyone is feeding off this kind of thing. Homer when he got cut in the Calgary series wanted to keep playing. Everyone is playing with pure heart and emotion and thats what wins in the playoffs.

To hard to say, I don't think I could pick just one. Hasek's play turned things around at times, Datsyuk's game 2 winner was huge if San Jose had ended up winning that who knows how things could have went. Langs, tying goal at the very end of period three was HUGE, and could have went different from their as well. All of the plays mentioned factor in, Homer coming back was big as well. To many to pick, lets just say the entire team made the best play because every little bounce pass, missed pass, assist, and goal make a difference not only in that game but the entire series. all in all way to keep battling guys. this year is special. and what about Bernie??
-
I also forgot to mention, he is one more guy on the ice that will stick up for his teammates even though everyone has been doing that lately, just does to show how close this team really must be, a band of brothers. Like when Zetterberg was pinned on the ice and Datsyuk was in the scrum and Homer grabbed I forget who the player was and started hitting him.

The start of a new tradition, obsessive maybe slightly, supportive 100%

If this is true awesome news, I've been waiting for Igor to come to Detroit.

Looks like they are about 20 mins out from landing at Lincoln. A long plane ride must be a lot easier coming home a winner. hopefully we can continue that trend on our west coast flights. Guys will be home soon.

Hasek is amazing, I am still just as happy right now as when I heard we had signed up again. I liked Legace and all but last year in the playoffs I kept thinking man if we had Hasek in net right now we would be Owning these guys. and wathcing the old 2002 footage of Hasek's passion during the playoffs and his excitment level just makes things that more better. I'm glad Hasek is back with the team, He belongs in a Wings Uniform, He has heart, Talent, and Experience. way to go Dom, Keep it up

I agree 100%, Pavel and Hank should remain Red Wings for their careers, I know this is hard these days with the Salary Caps and all of that, but they both wouldn't look right in another teams uniform. I'm sure Holland will do everything he can to keep the EuroTwins together as Wings for years to come, but it will be tough, To tell you the truth I don't really want to see anyone on this current team go, I was skeptical about Lang but he has came through big a couple of playoff games this year and it makes it hard to dislike the guy. This year's team is special, Hard to say why but I know others will agree. Pavel and Hank are the Red Wings Future.

Datsyuk has been deadly. I tried telling you guys early early into the season, when everyone was saying trade, trade, playoff no show blah blah. Myself along with many many others on the forums,13dats, Kira, Bringback91, and others all defended him when others were doubting. Now I'm pleased to see a lot of the fans are starting to give him the respect he deserves. Datsyuk is a one of a kind player and I'm glad he signed a new contract. keep up the good work Pavel.

Have to come out and play a strong game, We are breaking them down mentally, need to establish dominate play early, like someone else mentioned they will be back on their heels trying to make no mistakes this will give the Wings more room to work their magic. Let's take this one Good Luck Guys
