Harold after a few debates with you on various topics I understand your a very opinionated type of guy which is fine, We understand how you feel and what your saying, however all everyone else was saying is We feel he is pulling his weight so far and is helping in more ways than just scoring all the goals. Thats all we were saying I understand where both parties are coming from, and I feel this debate is not about hating or loving Datsyuk rather a difference in opinion over his role and getting the job done. I'm not going to argue with your buddy Hank anymore, he seems to love going back and forth and saying the same exact things and can't seem to grasp that not everyone will agree and feel the same way he does about stuff. so to put things straight we all can agree on, Datsyuk and Zetterberg scoring more goals would help greatly and they need to continue doing everything else they have done right to this point. Its common sense that you need to have your players score goals to win, the point everyone else is trying to say is it doesen't have to be only a STAR player, they all get paid to score goals my friend. Where is the rule that says WAIT!! we need this certain guy to score goals to be able to continue winning. Playoffs are not about just your STAR players, Forsberg is a STAR player one of the best in the world and how far did he get Nashville?? LUONGO is a huge star for The Canucks how far did that get them?? Kipper is amazing and couldn't have played any better but we still won. In the Playoffs teams WIN, not STAR PLAYERS. The whole team has to play at thier best and beyond to Win the Cup. You can't just sit back and expect the guys who get paid the most to do it all and play your normal game. Everyone needs to step it up its playoff hockey. Datsyuk is doing everything he needs to do right now. More goals would be great for him yes but it would be good if all of our players would score more on the road. What about Bertuzzi? where has he been, he needs to score more period but you don't see me making threads about that?? do you know why?? thats because the TEAM is playing fine, We are finding ways to win against a tough tough talented San Jose team, Were not out of the woods yet. But last night we found a way to win as a TEAM not because our STAR players needed to score more on the road. As a actual hockey player myself I understand, you WIN and LOSE as a TEAM, and as long as the TEAM is winning their should be no complaints. Who cares who scores as l ong as the TEAM Scores, Datsyuk is making things happen just because he is not scoring HIMSELF score on the road doesen't mean he isn't helping the TEAM score on the road. Thats why this thread is stupid. The team has been playing its heart out they just pulled a HUGE upset win and now you guys choose to make a thread to anaylize Our STAR players road performance. Its just dumb, You know what Hasek is a star player, I think he needs to produce more goals on the road as well. All the years of Yzerman leading the team in the playoffs he didn't always score all the goals but HIS TEAM did. Its not a one person sport. As long as they play well as a unit it makes up for others scoring or not scoring. I don't care if Datsyuk gets all the goals or none of them as long as he plays his heart out and does everything possible to helpt the team win, whether its by scoring goals, setting up goals, stopping goal chances, PKing, throwing his body around, or just being on the ICE and being a MENTAL THREAT to the other team. Learn hockey before you start running you mouth, and be a FAN not a analyst or coach.

If you would have read my post you would realize that others and myself included are wondering why your criticizing two of our hardest working players, on the basis of how many goals they are scoring on the road. the haters have arrived once again, but at a strange strange time Talking about how you want "MORE" from Datsyuk, well whos to say he doesen't want "MORE" support from the fans? nothing is ever good enough.

Not trying to argue but I have to disagree, I think Datsyuk has been playing phenomenal lately. and not just because I'm the biggest Datsyuk fan either. He has been playing strong in the corners and helping out huge on d. with his stripping puck skills and his backchecking. His offense has been steady, even though he hasn't scored a lot on the road he has still be a presence on the ice, He is allowing other players to be open due to the other teams double teaming and sometimes triple teaming him, hounding Datsyuk and Zetterberg while Homer sets up out front and Lids and Schieds rip shots from the point. and don't forget how close Datsyuk was last night to scoring 20 seconds into overtime, If the puck wouldn't have been on edge he would have buried the shot. Datsyuk has been working hard and playing with a lot of heart something a lot of the skeptics on the forums were talking about. He has shown a lot of emotion and desire this year in the playoffs and I expect to see great things from him and Zetterberg for the remainder of the post season as well as next season and beyond. don't worry Datsyuk will come through.

Don hates European players for some reason and is the ultimate Canadian homer. I also think that his examples of what to do and not do for the kids is cool, but the guy needs to lay off and stop being so one sided.
