I agree, Datsyuk has been ontop of his game lately and it sure is exciting watching the guy play. You never know what to expect from him, He has a endless bag of tricks and is one of the most if not the most creative player in the NHL. Not only do other players attempt to do his moves but little kids across the world try to do his moves on kids. Datsyuk has always been a goal scorer, a playmaker, and great all around player. and for Datsyuk's size he plays defense well. Keep in mind he did win the Check of the Game already this season. Pavel will do whats right for the team come this post season, he is not a selfish player and is just as happy setting up a beautiful goal as he is scoring a beautiful goal. keep it up Pavel, and before long you'll win the nobel peace prize for feeding all the hungry their Crow.

perfecly said my friend. I was thinking the same exact thing, its not so much the general use of booing things, its the setting people are using it in. They claim the reason they boo him now and its ok is because hes on the other team, well in that case everyone better BOO Lapointe, Shanny, Avery, Kozlov, and any other ex-red wing who is playing for a other team. Also one could argue if your booing because hes the enemy now then why boo just him, BOO the entire team if thats your reason for the disrespect. The guy didn't do one dirty thing the entire game, he played his game and then in the end won the game clean, like someone else said he did'nt celebrate or rub it in anyones face. If that was the case, then Why didn't Shanny just retire as a Red Wing if the reason he left was to HELP the team and give the young guys more playing time, thats the coach's concern not his. your not getting the point. The point is not that we wanted Columbus to Win or anything like that. Most of us on this thread feel it is stupid to Boo Fedorov who in my mind will ALWAYS be a Red Wing. He has mentioned before that He considers Detroit Home, this was just after he got traded to Columbus. I was thinking the same exact thing last night, even though I always will be a fan of Sergei's and it makes no sense to me to Boo at all, I understand however how they feel but I still don't understand after all this time why people would still BOO, let it rest its just stupid to boo. We are way off topic now guys, forget all the sterotypes, Plain and simple the Datsyuk fans such as myself are always going to stick up for Pavel, and I'm sure thier will always be the jealous people who have to come in and rain on our prade of talking about how well Datsyuk has been doing. Don't even bother giving the guys making all the negative comments the satisfaction of replying to his stupid post. He obviously has a personal problem with not only Datsyuk but Russian players in general, Who knows why he is so bitter? Maybe a Russian guy stole his girlfriend from him or something I don't really care. Lets get back to the topic in general though guys please, Back to talking about how well Datsyuk has been playing under adversity. The whole point of this post is to discuss how Datsyuk has continued to elevate and play his game even with the absense of Zetterberg. Pavel has been bringing his game every night but the past two games noone else has been able to step up as well. Loved the goal last night, keep up the good work Pasha, once again, no need to argue Pavel's play speaks for itsself.

BTW- what ever happened to all the people on the boards that said Pavel needed Hank to play well???? and like bb91 has said many times, The Red Wings need to make the playoffs in the first place and not saying they wouldn't have done it without him, all those points sure are a big reason we are where we are right now. If regular season means nothing then why even play a regular season?? Lets all just skip the entire hockey season and go straight into the playoffs.

Datsyuk has played amazing lately, Babcock has been switching lines around back and forth like crazy due to all the injuries we've had lately and Datsyuk has stayed consistent no matter who was on his line. I think Pavel has also had a lot of good chemistry with Filppula, don't get me wrong he doesen't have the chemistry that him and Hank have together but they play well together none the less. Another think that is over looked is, Pavel does so many other "little" things during the game that often go unnoticed by most. I think his Defensive play has improved lately and I have noticed he has been on the penalty kill unit quite often as well. He steals the puck better than anyone in the league, and is always turning plays that looked to be dead plays into something. Pavel is letting his play speak for itself.

Ok I may have over-reacted alitte but I am getting tired of all the Datsyuk is on fire now but I still don't like him because he hasn't done anything in the playoffs, its just getting really old to me. I applogise for blowing up on you, The point I was trying to make about lets see you show me something in the playoffs is I don't think people should judge others so severe on something that they can't do better than the person whom they are judging. Like I said before though He will step it up this year and hopefully you will feel different about everything, and then we can both be celebrating in a Stanley Cup Championship and/or Datsyuk resigned thread.
