10 best Russian NHLers of all time?

Considering your rude comment, I have to ask you, Have you ever been out of Kentucky??

10 best Russian NHLers of all time?

So many players that went unmentioned but like you said clearly NHL players only. I don't agree with Zhitnik and Yashin though. I think Kozlov should be above them, and since you have Nikolai in that list, Pasha should be with them aswell. Ovechkin but no Malkin??? I believe Ovechkin is better but I also believe Malkin is better than Yashin, Gonchar, and Zubov positions aside. Malkin is the real deal aswell and shouldn't be over looked.

    Dats to flyers in offseason?

This discussion is hilarious I'd have to say sibiriak wins though, He has clearly proved everything he has said and no this isn't just because I'm a bias Datsyuk fan. although it might have something to do with my sibiriak colored glasses I'm wearing.

    Volchenkov

He'd be what we are looking for in the playoffs, but I would rather keep Markov. I love the way Markov plays

    Kudos to Zetterberg 100th goal

Just wanted to make a post for Hank, after his two goal game last night, The guy isn't just your average hockey player he thinks different. After watching the patience with the puck when he skated around the back of the net and waited for Cujo to sweep for it, then roofing the shot upstairs. Awesome goal. so Congrats Hank and good luck in tonights game against St. Louis. also should mention Lang and Lebda's awesome play. Both Brett and Bob both had perfect passes til the final shot by lang went in. Pavel also had a nice open netter, Awesome game last night

    Kudos to Zetterberg 100th goal

HA!!! I told you. Norris I agree totally thats the way I seen it. But Toby, Zetterberg lost control of the puck alittle bit yes but he was waiting Cujo out, He knew he was going to try and sweep the puck away from him. Cujo is not new to the league either, You can tell Hank wasn''t just going for a wrap around because he didn't cut right to the net he came out infront of the crease alittle ways then fumbled the puck a bit and then roofed it just as Cujo was finnishing the motion with his stick trying to knock it away. It might not have gone exacly to plan but He knew coming around he wasn't going to attempt the wrap around or Cujo would have had his number all day long.

    Zetterberg...

Here we go again, Everyone is Greedy, its not nothing to do with what Nation you are from, The human race is Greedy simple as that. I don't beleive Datsyuk is greedy at all, He is a skilled player and will get everything he can to better his family. I'm with him all the way, if the choice was better my family and make as much money as I can so they can have things I might not ever had, or lets see option B Don't take as much money as I could so the Fans and especially the ones on LGW will like me better, Well I can honnestly say I'd have to say I would let the fans call me Greedy all they want and I'd be smiling all the way to the bank. Is Nick Lidstrom greedy?? since he is the highest player on the team?? Nope I wouldn't say so but with your theory one could say so. I don't want to take anything away from Hank but Why does everyone give him all the credit and say we must do everything to keep him at all cost, and then act like Pavel is disposable ??? Like I said not to take anything away from Hank but he wouldn't be as good without having Pavel around and the same goes for Datsyuk He wouldn't do the same without Hank, They are the EuroTwins and you know what you have to do with Twins right??? Never Seperate them.

    Whitney Hat trick in 1:40

Mr. Whitney is another one of those player whom I wish we would have held onto. Congrats man, and good luck with the rest of your career. Could have used his play in the playoffs last year.

    Is Markov alright ?

I was just wondering if anyone had heard anything more about Dani?? after the Roenick hit from last nights game, where he hit him just after he was clearing the puck in the corner.
  11. I think I figured out why so many Detroit fans truly hate Fedorov. They found out all the trash talking he was doing in Russian. Nah on a lighter note, I found a old ESPN commercial with Shanny and Feds that I love and thought I would share it. ahh the good old days. Sergei is the man, don't agree watch this then

The "REAL" reason some Detroit fans dislike Fedorov

wow, I had no idea this thread would turn into this. Thier is alot of good discussion on this thread, but it seems its starting to get crazy again. I agree with bringback91, no offense Crymson but you do tend to get all bent outta shape quite easily. Relax man, just because other people hold a different view on something is no reason to say they are on crack. Although I agree with some of what you said I don't agree with all of it. This thread was originally ment to poke fun at the whole Feds situation. by saying that the reason why people dislike him is because they found out he was talking trash behind everyones back. Along with the old Espn commercial with him and Shanny. This was never inteneded for serious discussion about his performance and trade ideas. I would love to see him play for the Red Wings again I like Sergei and will follow his career no matter who he plays for and I will forever remember the great times in Detroit, the Nike sponsorship, everything he did for the team and city. For that I am a Federov Fan for life. Everyone doesen't have to share my opinion on this, but I don't agree with anyone Booing the guy. Believe it or not he still looks at Detroit as home. .

The "REAL" reason some Detroit fans dislike Fedorov

on crack?? Mr. Negative has just showed up everyone. Its cool you don't think Feds would help us now, True he hasn't done alot since he left Detroit, but has Detroit done much since he left either?? We have been getting embarassed in the playoffs year after year. I think Sergei's return would Help out not only himself but The Wings aswell. I don't think him and Babcock would click very well but the rest of the team would I believe. The price is the main thing he would have to take a cut like Hasek, and maybe get a bonus if his numbers are good enough or something. Look at the team he is playing for??? The Blue Jackets that is another reason why his numbers are hurting. I'm telling you guys Sergei still has it. For example take a look at Peter Forsberg, one of the Best players in the World. His numbers were amazing and he was in the playoffs year after year with Colorado, and goes to Philly now look at what hes doing injury aside he hasn't done crap. I don't want Feds back for the fact that he was the best here in Detroit before, I want him back so he can prove to everyone that he still has the magic and can help bring the cup back to Hockey Town. Igor did it came back and Won the Cup with Detroit after leaving remember?? Someone has said it before and I'll say it again "No Sergei No Cup"
  15. WingNutt

    Prospects?

We have alot of talent in Grand Rapids, Just need some time to develop them guys more before they play in the big show. I am ready for Igor to make his way to the stage though.

wow aweome!! OWF you are my new hero. I also once made a DVD ( a Ovechkin rookie season tribute) and tried seeding it but it was twice as big I had to put it on a DL DVD-R it was around 7GB or so. I will start downloading this when I get home, and you can also add me to the list of people seeding. The more we get the better for everyone so lets step it up guys. OWF thanks again for your hard work. I know how much time can go into making one.

    UFA Targets

Just remember we haven't won a cup since he left??? No Sergei No Cup??
  20. WingNutt

    Alexei Morozov

Yeah Especially Fedorov and Kozlov, We still would have won without them, Pay no attention to the fact that We haven't Won a cup since Fedorov has been gone. Kozlov never could do much in the playoffs could he? I also hear that Russian's are soft, Especially ones like Vladdy and Markov. what a bunch of girls

Federov ---> To the canadiens ?

Well, "Fedorov" I think would make a good addition to Montreal. I would personally like to see him play for the Wings again but we all know how :most: Detroit fans feel about Russian players. Huet is a amazing goaltender, fast speedy fowards with quick hands and you have a sleeper team on your hands. I say look out for Montreal in the next few seasons, especially if they get Fedorov.
  23. WingNutt

    Pavel Bure

Old or not, Alot of NHL goaltenders are lucky that the Russian Rocket, is not making a comeback. If he did we'd be seeing alot of this ---->

Ryan Smyth is unhappy in Edmonton right now

My question to you Heros is what will YOU do when Lang plays for another team???? I will be a loyal fan to Pasha whereever he plays but I still see him in Detroit. Holland sure went through a mess to get him signed and brought back from the super league. besides Holland knows that Dats has skills you can't find everyday. Smyth is a gump. Canadians on these forums still must be sour about the Olympic game
  25. WingNutt

Ryan Smyth is unhappy in Edmonton right now

Wow! nothing gets by you guys, I am Datsyuk fan, on RedWings Message Boards !!? Imagine that Datsyuk fan or not I wouldn't take Smyth for trade on anyone on the wings, Hes the enemy, I truly feel as a long time participant and fan or the game that he is a overrated player. Hes not getting any younger either. Just incase someone missed it or is not smart enough to figure it out. Yes I am a fan of Pavel Datsyuk.
