I never understood why everyone thought Datsyuk would fall apart without Zetterberg... Datsyuk's offensive talents are probably about the same as Zetterbergs ATM. He's a playmaker - he needs a goal scorer to put points up.

Who's going to be #3 on the shootout lineup now that Williams is gone? Hudler? Bert?

Some of you guys need to tone your man-love for Filp down. He's doing AWESOME, but Hudler is just as good or better.

Do you guys really think they'll sit Hudler to rot on the bench or even waive him? No, they'll send Filp down for some topline minutes in the AHL until someone's injured and a spot opens up. They'll probably leave Kopecky on IR until the end of the season without worrying about waiving/sitting him. It's not exactly the best thing, but I don't think they'll let Hudler rot on the bench when they could have him playing and Filp playing(just in the AHL). Some time in the AHL to dominate for Filp won't do any bad.

We can always hope for Dallas/Minny and have SJ get toasted in the first round... But, if we go far in the playoffs just to get owned there goes picks for Bert...

I don't think Todd's a dirty player. Has he done something considered dirty? Yep. But, what would you all think if Kronwall had concussed Lupul bad enough to end his career and/or make him Lindros-like? Does that mean Kronwall's a dirty bag that shouldnt play hockey? Bert didnt mean to break Moore's neck and end his career. Put it behind you people. Who even knows if it was Bert who did it and not the pileup of players ontop of Moore?

I think he should still juggle Lang out of the 2nd line.. Maybe putting Lang on the 4th will get him to start doing something. Reward Filp and give him some 2nd line minutes and see how it goes. Put Lang on the doghouse and see if he revitalizes.

They'll probably send Filp down. He's been doing great, but I don't think they'll waive Hudler and/or scratch any of our roster players. Filp can go down without clearing waivers and probably will have to when everyone's healthy.

Awesome trade. I think Mathias for Bert is a good gamble to take. I would have prefered to give up one of the many undersized skilled European forwards we have, but oh well.
