Hasn't been said enough, but Lashoff is playing really solid hockey since coming into the line-up.

Great play by Weiss, need to see more of it.

That PP is an example of how to kill momentum early in a game.

Lines at practice today: Tatar-Zetterberg-Franzen Bertuzzi-Datsyuk-Alfredsson Cleary-Weiss-Abdelkader Miller-Andersson-Tootoo Hopefully it provides a spark.

Time for John Scott to go. As a supporter of enforcers and fighting, this guy is making an absolute mockery of whats left of the code in the game. First he goes after a skilled player in Phil Kessel in the pre-season of all times, and tries to fight him which is a huge no-no. Then he throws a semi-late, head shot check on a defenseless skill player in a 4-2 game. There's just no room for it, enforcers are supposed to be the hard working, team guys. That is not John Scott, Scott is a joke and nothing more then a cheap shot version of a "goon". Guys like Colton Orr and George Parros don't do this for a reason, if they can get a lick on a skilled guy they take it. But they don't hit him from behind, or put a shoulder to his head. That's not the way it's ever been done. He'll probably get 5 games, he'll cry about how he's really not a dirty player, and then in a month or two he'll do something stupid again to further make enforcers look bad.

Coming off a major surgery, and from a team that has never played with structure, I'm willing to give him a bit more time because I harp on him. Got us a W in Carolina early, and now is in a bit of a funk. If he's still struggling by Christmas we may be in trouble, still a bit early.

Tatar and Tootoo have stood out tonight outside of the top line, that's never a good thing. Honestly wouldn't mind Gus starting against the Rangers on Saturday either, save Howard for out West to see if he can get on a role.

I'd like Quincey so much more if he'd shoot at the net and not into the corner/boards every single time.

Glad Bert is back on the top line, he's a better fit for a cycle game and net front presence. Obviously 3-1 is s***, but if the Wings wake up this is still a winnable game. We'll see.

Bert's getting good at that, do we have a game on our hands now?

He's been bad yes, but the Wings just refuse to skate and engage in the game. This could get ugly if Mike doesn't get em going.
