What a game. Thought I was going to have a heart attack. Howard stole one for us, the PK was huge, the PP broke thru and they did something they almost never seem to do. Hold on with a 1 goal lead, and bury an empty netter, and of all the guys to bury the goal it's fitting it's Cleary considering the amount he's missed over the years! Bury these f***ers Saturday!!! -

Don't play not to lose from the get go. Bring the play to Chicago, regular seasons gone, we're the better team right now. I think Howard has another good game, and Franzen and Cleary step up offensively tonight. -

So much for that "the hammer and the nail" analogy by the Blackhawks beat writers. If Howard stays strong, and we keep our composure and let idiots like Bickell and Shaw take as many penalties as they want to screw their own teams, we're in good shape. -
Haha, all this bitching about Smith. Does anyone remember Kronwalls play from 05-07? He was a turnover machine, and made dumb decisions with the puck. But he grew, and then established himself a solid #3 in 07-08, and the rest is history. How about Ericsson? He was dreadful for 2 and half seasons, and now he's our shut down defenseman #2/3. Defenseman take longer to develop, Smith is learning at the best time of the year, the playoffs. He's gonna be fine.

I'm a big toughness and fighting guy. But absolutely not, you don't win the Cup by fighting guys like Bickell and Shaw. You win the Cup laughing at those 2 dummies continue to screw their team by taking dumb penalties. Keep composed, and this series will be over quick.

Still a winnable series. Played better then them in the 1st, and ran out of gas midway thru the 2nd and relied on Howard. He was great last night, get our legs back and take home ice back in Game 2. -

Steal game 1 and watch the Hawks implode. The pressure is heavily on their shoulders. Also, funny that Quennville is playing Carcillo over Stalberg. A dumb, penalty machine over a good hockey player? Please Q, keep making these moves it's one of the reasons you've never beaten the Wings in the post season. -
Phaneuf is the 4th best defenceman on the Leafs. What a bozo, gotta feel for Reimer. He's a good guy and gave the Leafs every chance until they imploded. Bruins worked hard to get the win though, not sure how they'll fair vs the Rangers.
