The wings really make me sick sometimes. Howards finally answering the call, and the Wings are doing everything they can to lose. Samuelsson even scored for f*** sakes. Need a big 3rd here.

The whole year has just been a coming out party for Ericsson. Alot less mental mistakes, yes he'll make the odd turnover, but years ago it was a turnover twice as often as a tape to tape pass. The ice time and responsibility have made him slow the game down and make the right decisions. I'd like to see him beat up guys like Perry and Backes regularly when they crash the net hard and make contact with Howard, but other then that he's been a pleasant surprise and it's good to see. He's taken alot of heat from fans, myself included.

That was wild. Hope the sens knock them out in Game 5.

Love watching the Pens flounder. Tavares is living up to the hype, glad to see. He's a star I can get behind, not Sid and Malkin who start fights at the end of games there losing only to have every friggin idiot on the ice jump in as soon as Hamonic throws a punch.

What a game. Howard answered the bell, Datsyuk is phenomenal and Brunner and Nyquist are money. Time to steal Game 5 in Anaheim!

As much as I hate that "centcougar" dumbie, I'd love to see Minny knock out the Hawks.

Gryba and Abdelkader, 4 games for hits that weren't even penalties 5 years ago. The NHL will have no hitting and fighting in no time, it's a fast game, a physical game, there's no way to eliminate all the dangerous plays. So instead we play musical chairs with whats acceptable and what isn't. Poor Shanny, I wish he'd resign and let someone else make these decisions so his name doesn't get besmirched so often. For game 4 I'd like to see Bertuzzi take Abbys place and Tootoo in for Sammy. Gotta get more physical with Abby out.

Unfortunately for us, our two toughest players are sitting for Samuelsson..

I'd say he stole Game 6 against San Jose in 2011, and that was it.... and we didn't even win that series. Certainly like you said it wasn't his fault we lost, but he wasn't good.. at all, either.

The old adage is never change a winning line-up. Just superstitious, but I mean it seems every time we win a game and make any kind of change we come out losing the next game. I'm probably just still bitter over the 09 cup loss when Mike took Abby out of the line-up... In any case, horrible game. No compete level, no cycle game, the PP was bad. After a poor outing last game, Howard didn't steal the game like he needed too (Getzlaf goal not withstanding.) Just sad that the Joe used to be the toughest rink in the NHL for an opposing team to get a win in during the playoffs, and now it's open season for whoever comes in.

Surprised Sammys in tonight, he's clutch in the playoffs though so it'd be funny to see him pot one tonight. Unlike last year vs Nashville when we got a split, I really feel this series is ours to lose as opposed to when it was the Preds to lose. If Howard can hold the Ducks to 2 tonight I feel we'll get the W.

The pussification of the NHL continues. 2 games for a clean hit, because of the result. The result can't dictate hockey, if a guy gets cleaned at center ice and fractures his ankle and the thing puts puddles of blood on the ice would he get 2 games? Jesus, at the very least this will have both teams fuming ready to pound the s*** out of each other tonight.

I can't believe the Habs are being such babies about Maclean not using players names when talking about them. Growing up playing hockey and football, my coaches would never refer to a player by name, ironically, as a sign of respect. Hope the Sens bring the heat on the Habs, Price can't beat Anderson.

Got no sleep last night, but it was worth it. That was a character win, Jimmys had his bad game of the series and managed to win it. Sucks losing DeKeyser, but hopefully Cola or Lashoff can step in and help us out.

Anaheim was the better team last night, but when it was 1-1 it could've went either way and Kindl had a brain fart and gave the Ducks the PP and that was it. I'd like to see Bert back in, we need more size and cycle game down low.

Maybe if Tim Thomas suddenly decided to report to the Isles for Game 1 I'd think an upset was possible. With Nabakov in net, probably not. All the same, Go Isles!

Everyone said his numbers would take a hit without Lidstrom and Stuart this year, all he did was have the best numbers of his career. And tied for the lead in shutouts. Hats off to Jimmy, I've been critical of him in the past but he was clutch this year when we needed him the most. Now he needs to go make a name for himself in the playoffs.

Should be a great series. Proud of the Wings, gonna be a few late nights but it's much better then not being in at all!

I've never cheered for the Avalanche before, but god would it be good to see Minnesota miss the playoffs after tossing all that money at Parise and Suter.

Huge, character W there. Since ******* up in Calgary, Howard has been the difference. All the credit goes to him, very happy to see Tootoo get the GWG tonight. His game had been lacking lately but he was a force tonight. Beat Nashville tommorow and we'll take er to 22 years!

He'd be a huge boost. But none of the kids should sit, Cleary/Eaves/Tootoo would be the ones to sit. Somethings off with Toots lately, he hasn't been playing a hard physical brand. So to me it wouldn't even be a question, yes monitor his minutes, but Bert will bring alot to the line-up that we're missing.
