Good hard fought win. Joey showed he's got some mental toughness by shutting it down, he was fantastic in the 3rd.

That Rinaldo hit has the Wings scared, there tossing the puck around without even looking, not hitting anyone anymore and even the Franzen thing he was tossing gloved punches. Like I said before the game, with Commie out we have no answer to the Flyers dirt. Bad luck for Joey, hopefully he shapes up.

It's a mistake to not have Commodore in this game. I don't understand why he's sitting against tough teams, guys like Sestito and Rinaldo are gonna run around all game and we'll have no response. Alas, hopefully Joey plays well and we can get the two points, that's all that matters

Horcoff is good buddies with Dano, Z, Homer and Drapes when he was around. He's always at the season opening skates before Edmontons training camp gets going. Seemed last night like Fil knows Lydman pretty well, just like Selanne.

It's the same team that wasn't good enough the last 2 years, with a few tweaks. Howard is a championship calibre goalie now, we could use a few big forwards and then I say the skys the limit. Also staying healthy will be key, but if Holland stands pat regardless of 1st overall or not I think it'll be a mistake. Especially with all the cap space we have. -
Oh and ... fighting wins!
