To be expected of course with such a layoff, a little physicality and speed on the forecheck for the first little while works for me

Be very interesting to see what he provides when he comes back. Obviously he's fast, but will he be physical and smart with the puck. He was good in limited time last year, hope he can become a fearless fast guy like Helm and just fly around throwing his stick at the puck. If he can provide a Helm like presence perhaps with better touch around the net then hell, get him in the line-up when hes ready to go!

Didn't see the game, but Howard can win a Stanley Cup. I'm convinced now, theres a difference between standing on your head on a tuesday night in Columbus and on national TV against the Stanley Cup champions. We make a few moves throughout the year, and our young guys keep getting better and who knows what this team could be capable of. -

Babs always says that the best players play. Well not so much, but we're winning so who cares right now. Smith should go the way of Helm when the playoffs roll around, if not, then I'll be mad. -
He was always my favorite player on the Leafs, people said he sucked here in Calgary and he was slow in San Jose, and blah blah blah. He's ripping it up, and playing great for us. Such a good deal at the time it was signed, and even better now
