The best goalie available, Ray Emery. When his injury history looks golden compared to Ozzie, you know it's an incredible risk to think about bringing Ozzie back. I love the guy, he's my favorite goalie of all time, but it's time to move on.

Good signing. If we really are going with Ozzie, he better sign for dirtcheap so we still got buttloads of cap space. I love the guy, but I'm not sold that with his injury history and age he's the best choice, but we'll see.

Pangers awesome, I'll give you that. But Ferderko just ruins the broadcasts, every single time I get the Blues feed on CI.

One other point, they've got LA's broadcast team as 5 stars... I dont mind Jim Fox, but good lord, he and the other guy have easily the most boring broadcasts ever. I'd rather mute the TV and play Metallica the whole time, at least that way I'd be pumped and interested

That is, quite frankly, the worst ******* list I've ever seen. As an aspiring broadcaster, that makes me embarrassed that someone is allowed to comment and rate broadcasters when he has no clue about the subject at hand. He rates the St Louis Blues and the Phoenix Coyotes broadcasts as 4 stars, those are the worst broadcast teams in the NHL. Bernie Federko and Tyson Nash are the worst color guys in the league, I'd take 3 Pierre McGuires over them anyday of the week. Then we got TERRY CRISP AND WHATS HIS f***IN NAME AS A 5 STAR BROADCAST TEAM. These guys are a disgrace to the game, there boring rants, awful voices and all around no knowledge of hockey whatsoever. (Actually, Crisp is an intelligent hockey mind, but an awful broadcaster) Makes me sick. Daniels is one of the best broadcasters in the league, Murph and Mickey are funny and insightful. Homers? Sure, a bit, but every announcer for a team is a homer. Kinda there ******* job you morons, and they are one of the better home broadcasts in the league. f*** this list, the writer knows nothing about broadcast journalism, or for that matter, hockey.

Just saw this on mlive Assistant coaching search The Red Wings hope to fill their two assistant coaching vacancies by the end of the week. Coach Mike Babcock has been speaking mostly to younger candidates who have coached in the AHL, college or the major junior ranks. There is a chance their new assistant coaches will not have coached or played in the NHL. "Think young, hungry guys, aggressive guys that want to be (like) Mike Babcock four years from now," said one person familiar with the search. We can't forget how Scotty treated Aaron Ward (like s***), and he turned out to be a pretty good defenceman. I remember it was brought up on the TSN panel a few years ago, but Wardo said that he believed Scotty was harder on him then any other guy on the team, but he wouldn't have changed a minute of it. Winning fixes everything, so any guys that don't like Babs and don't wanna play for him, f*** them.

Yes, I was looking at the free agent list for next summer and Doan jumped off the page and gave me a blindside headshot.. but seriously, the guy would be the biggest pick-up since Shanny/Hasek/Rafalski. He'd be exactly what we need to compliment Franzen, a guy who can stick up for him and drives the net hard. Phoenix's ownership problems along with the constant team moving rumors has got to be getting to Shane, the guy has been the Coyotes best player by far against us in the past 2 playoffs, and while you hate him when he's beating up on your team, he'd be my favorite player if we were to acquire him. For a chance to win the Cup, I think he'd waive his NMC too, I know he's said he wants to stay with the Coyotes for life.. but there's just nothing there anymore. They lose Bryz, Jovo, amongst others. They are barely better then Edmonton now, and we're a Shane Doan type away from winning the Cup. Seems like a perfect match.

A guy no ones talking about is Ray Emery. For the right price, he's the best goalie on the market and would give us the toughest goaltending tandem in the NHL Seriously though, he played really well with Anaheim last year and has grown up alot since his days in Ottawa.

If Brett Lebda can fetch a return, so can Hudler.
