Sorry eva, but no.. just no. Hudler was by far the slowest Wing that played this year, as the year went on he begin to keep pace with NHLers such as Shawn Thornton, Andreas Lilja, Jason Allison.. oh whoops. But in seriousness here, the guy is too small and too slow to be effective for Detroit. We need speed, we need size. We're not talking about Gionta or St Louis here, we're talking about Hudler. And against San Jose regardless of "he generated chances" or "looked good on the PP", he didn't score goals. He didn't open up the ice, in the 08 and 09 playoffs, I can admit. He was a good complimentary player on the 3rd and 4th lines. But for his money and effectiveness, he just isn't worth it anymore. All the hookers and blow in Russia really took the wind out of his sails.

Loved Modano, but he should've just retired after what happened in Dallas (SO winner, last home game) and then the tribute in Minnesota. He showed he didnt have anything, and was a waste of money we could've used on either a bigger winger for the bottom 6, or saved money for the deadline.

Game 1 and the Lightning are already in the Bruins heads. It really pisses me off to see Lucic and Horton playing the bully in the conference final when they wouldnt do it against Montreal. They played like ******* in the 1st round, kinda played tougher against Philly and now this s***. f*** Boston's wannabe tough guys, hope the Bolts sweep.

Laich, Ryder and Wiz all fill a need and could be affordable. Laich would give us fantastic center depth, Ryder is a pure trigger man which we could use more of, plus with Datsyuk feeding him 30 goals is not impossible. And then Wiz is a mean defenceman who's great on the PP and can move the puck. I'd be in favor

He needs a solid back-up next season. Poor guy cant be expected to play 60+ games a season. But yes, he proved he can be a big time goalie. A little fundamental work, and a stronger 6-man unit defensively and I'm sure we'll see his numbers improve in the regular season and now we know what he's made of in the playoffs. Way to be Jimmy

Would be glorious. We ran over the Eastern Conference last year, and if we had an easier path through the playoffs we have a coach and a team that knows how to win against the West. But like others, i'll believe it when I see it.

2007 - Kronwall, Schnieder, Calder 2008 - nothing 2009 - Rafalski, Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Cleary, Hossa all had injuries of some kind 2010 - Cleary, Franzen 2011 - Zetterberg, Franzen, Datsyuk, Rafalski, Bertuzzi Is pretty frustrating.

Can't believe Bert suffered one, seemed so innocent. Hope the guys heal up good and come back hungrier next year. Especially Bert, on the last year of his deal and getting older.

Get rid of Ericsson and Hudler. Ericsson had a goal in Game 5, awesome. Hudler... did what? Nothing. Modano, Draper, Salei, Osgood ride off into the sunset. I will miss and love Ozzie and Drapes forever, but the time has come. Re-sign Lidstrom. Here's my thing, he's gotta take less money. While he was great both in the regular season, and playoffs, if he is committed to winning he realizes we need to have the money to add pieces to the team to put us over the top. Eaves I'd bring back as well, Miller, great guy but no, isnt the kind of grinder we need. Filpulla-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Bertuzzi-Zetterberg-Franzen ?-?-Cleary Eaves-Helm-? Mursak Stuart-Lidstrom Rafalski-? Kronwall-? 3 forwards, 2 d-men. Dont really wanna go through the UFA lists right now, but a guy like Brooks Laich would be ideal for the 3rd line. Wisniewski would be nice on the backend as well, of the top of my head. Do I really believe any changes will be made? Not really, but I dont think the team as it is can win the Cup right now. But it is so close, a few pieces and we'll be the class of the league once again.

This loss, honestly for me, feels worst then the loss to Pittsburgh. All this for nothing... I dont even know what to say. Valiantly effort, certainly, but that doesnt take the sting away. I hope Nick realizes that with Howard in net, a few changes up front and on the back end, and we have a serious shot next year. Hope he'll be joining us.
