From signing Modano as our best acquisition in the off-season, to slumping right as San Jose was catching steam and losing the 2nd seed, and now to this. One of the most disappointing seasons I can remember, and this year there arent excuses like fatigue or injuries.

We got a horse s*** PP and couldnt even convert it, those are the sweetest wins, the ones you dont deserve. We need some new personel and some new coaches, our special teams have killed us. f***, I cant believe how dominant we've looked in the 1st round to turn into this.

Rafalski on the ice two years in a row for the OT goal, man I wish we had signed him to a one year deal back in 07. He had one good year when we won the Cup and that was it.

That's the season. Hope we make some changes in the offseason.

Bertuzzi in OT (for the goal, or the penalty that loses the game.. we'll find out)

Bad coverage all game, a minus player.. He isnt bringing anything to the table right now. But Modano wouldnt have affected this game, again the Wings couldnt hold a lead. Boy oh boy would it be nice to win in OT though, could really shake the Sharks confidence.

Just not in the cards. I've been as positive as possible in these playoffs, but we arent a team that wins OT games. I'd love, love loveeee to see it, but I dont believe it's gonna happen.

We outplayed them in everyway, thank god for Lidstrom. Lets keep the peddle to the medal and get a lead!!!

NHL lookout, the Bruins finally remembered how to play physical. My god, there up by 2 goals and crushing every Flyer when they have the puck.

Lose this one, season over. Win this one, it's a whole new series. I'd like to see a 4-1 final score, show San Jose that we can play with them. Go Wings!

Modano has been the biggest waste of a signing ever. Why did we even bother if we werent gonna see what he had come playoff time? This is the perfect time to get him in for Abby/Hudler and he'll still sit. At least Drapes is back in

a 930 save % in the playoffs speaks for itself. He's been marvelous, if the Wings get it going in Detroit I believe Howard can take us far.

Franzen-Zetterberg-Cleary Holmstrom-Datsyuk-Modano Hudler-Filpula-Bertuzzi Eaves-Helm-Draper Miller/Abby Sends a message to Abby to play smarter or he wont, and also gives us more speed and scoring depth.

Babcock is the better coach. Olympic gold and a Stanley Cup, with 2 finals appearances as well. But head to head? McLellans 6-1 record against Babs in the postseason is hard to argue.

Lines dont matter like you said. It's all about icing the 20 guys who care the most and want to win. Personnally I believe Modano and Draper at the end of their careers are part of that 20. Not Abby, and unfortunately Miller needs to sit too. But his is more of a numbers problem where Abby has just played awful.

I'd like to see Mo and Drapes in. Bring 4 solid lines at San Jose with speed and skill. Holmstrom-Datsyuk-Modano Cleary-Zetterberg-Franzen Hudler-Filpula-Bertuzzi Eaves-Helm-Draper Miller Abby Lines are interchangeable, but Abby has taken bad penalties and done nothing on offence. Miller has been good on the PK, but every forward we have can PK save for Hudler and Bertuzzi. Mike's gotta shake things up, Datsyuk and Zetterberg doesnt work 5on5 anymore. And the amount of lose puck battles we loose because we're last getting to the puck is tiresome. Just do something differently, chane it up!

No knee jerk reaction, but I want to get Modano and Draper back into the lineup. We need faceoff help, we need more speed and we need some heart and some want. The Wings look like they dont care, so shake it up Mike. Datsyuk and Zetterberg cannot stay together any longer, sure that goal was nice but outside of that? What did they do? Nothing.
