Well, that was awful. Mike needs to change up the lines, Datsyuk and Zetterberg have been awful together since 2008. Give it up. Thank god for Howard, he's been great again. And our special teams need to step it up, Eaves and Ericsson helped to screen Howard on the 1st goal and 0 shots on a 4 minutes PP speaks for itself. Come on Detroit, wake up now or it'll be too late come Game 3. -

Personally I think the Wings are gonna come out and own the Sharks. The biggest question mark going into this series was goaltending and officiating. Sure, refs still suck major ass, but my lord was Howard fantastic last night. If we can shake off the rust and convert some powerplays, we'll be fine. -
It was a beauty hit, Tootoos a smaller guy. Clipping is a bulls*** penalty, wow do Nashville suck tonight and Rinne gives the Preds hope going forward though.

It's gonna be a good matchup. Honestly, the only way we lose this series is if officiating stinks and our goaltending stinks. I just dont see it this year, Sharks have a weak defence, shaky goaltending, and Jumbo Joe. I like our chances, go wings

They gave it all they had, just outclassed this year. I mean in no disrespect to Phoenix, but I'm excited to see the Jets come back. Hopefully we dont meet them in the playoffs anymore so I can like Shane Doan, guy is a beast, but I dont like him against Detroit

Great game. Tonight showed that even when our goalie isnt at his best, we can still overcome. The Cleary-Filpula-Bertuzzi line was great all night as soon as they were put together. Good stuff, rest up get Hank and Mule back and keep it going in a week or so. -

Decent period, didnt chip pucks out as effectively or forecheck as well until the end there. Lidstrom has been noticeably bad this game, hopefully he picks it up in the 4rd. Datsyuk and Franzen havent done much, gotta believe there gonna step up. Lets do this wings -

It seems like it's the Canadian way to play against Detroit honestly. I mean going back to 07 we've got Iginla, Phaneuf, Thornton, Getzlaf, Perry, Doan, etc. The only star canadians that havent just played to win against Detroit that I can think of would be Morrow... honestly that's the only one I can think of Dunno what it is, they think there so much tougher so they can do whatever they want. You'd think they'd learn by now, guess not. Works for me I like winning hockey games.
