Marchenko has been getting better by the game, but I wouldn't mind if they rotated the young guys in with Q out. Ouellet has done nothing in his whole NHL/AHL career to show he ISN'T ready to play in the bigs, so he deserves a shot. After 2 fantastic pre-seasons, I'd like to see Jensen get a crack too. Good problem to have. Q needs to get healed up correctly, come back and get into a groove going into the second half of the season.

Would like to see AA stay until Pav is back, really would like to have him up full time but it won't happen this season which is fine. Top line minutes in GR are good. Kid can fly, had a bunch of scoring chances today too.

Dylan Larkin is something else gang.

I think going power on power always worked for us in the past. With Larkin in the fold, and Pav back soon, why not do it again? The 4th line vs the 2nd line for other teams still gives us our 2nd line vs other teams 3rds, and then the 3rd vs the 4th. At least when we can dictate the matchups. We have enough depth up front that those matchups should favor us big time.

Though, I thought it'd take until at least November for a thread like this to show up here. It's not how you start, it's how you finish. For as great as Mike is, we've scratched and clawed our way in since 2012. In 2012 we couldn't compete with the Preds, in 2013 we had a lead going into the 3rd period of game 6 and blew it. Coaching is important in hockey, no doubt, but outside of Z, Larkin and the goalies, we don't have anyone going at the moment. It's on the players to fix this.

We suck right now. Missing Datsyuk, Richards, Green and Quincey plays a role obviously, but man, all our stats are bad and the eye test isn't any better. Id toss the lines in a blender again, some guys are just invisible.

I'm dubbing this the strange season of fights. Ferraro vs Hudler and now Tatar vs Gerbe, wild.

Looked pretty good until Green got hurt. After that it was ugly. Too much standing around and watching, our play has me a bit concerned. On a positive note though, almost 10 games in and goal tending looks great.

Smith and Kindl both stink. Ouellet-Quincey would be a great third pair.

Switch up the lines. I'd love to see Ouellett over Kindl/Smith, but probably won't happen. Goaltending wasn't an issue again tonight, need to start on time. Please beat these ******* bum Flames on Friday, or I won't hear the end of it from fans who don't have a clue.

With Franzen's career likely over, we'd only have to waive Andersson when Pav gets back to be roster compliant. I think he's a Red Wing going forward.

Goaltending not a problem in either loss. Defence and turnovers were. Don't like the lines either, Blash should mix em up. Fire Andersson into the sun, get Jurco/Ferraro back in next game.

Ugly game, but f*** it. 2 points baby. Common denominator in both games, the best line we had going had DYLAN LARKIN on it.

Too bad they decided to take the night off. Mrazek has been impressive, neither goal his fault. Larkin and Z good, everyone else horrible.
