The Mantha comparison isn't valid. He never had a chance to capitalize on his hype because he broke his leg. Larkin stayed healthy, and impressed so much that he made the roster. He'll probably go back to GR at some point this year, but only because of the numbers game. He's NHL ready.

He earned this. It's great to see the best players playing (except Andersson might be in the starting line-up which is insane) but it's a welcome change. Will he stay all year? Probably not. But the situation we're in with no Pav and Helm, it's the right decision.

Used to like Holland, that BS at the end might change that. Good on Mantha for chucking bombs at his head right away. Every pre-season game gets me more hyped for the kids in a couple years. -

I get the numbers game, I get we're over the cap, I get we overripe our prospects. Larkin is ready man, the kid just brings it. I really won't care if he starts in the minors because if GR's top 6 has Larkin, Mantha, AA and Bert in it, I'm pysched. I think he has to get a look with Pav out is all. -
Hopefully it's not serious. I'm expecting DD-Green to log some serious minutes this year (and tear s*** up)

No way is Larkin in GR to start the year, with Pav on the shelf and Helm iffy, he's definitely on the opening night roster. Kid has the goods. Bertuzzi had a great game after a quiet one the other night. Loving the kids, will take a few season to see most of em on the big club.... that's what NHL16 is for I guess -
