Alright, so that was a clean check. But it was shoulder to head contact, which is a no-no now. The NHL f***ed up again, Spacek wont face discipline and he shouldnt, but in the new rules, he broke the rules.

I'll take San Jose or Chicago over Vancouver anyday. A team with strong goaltending and hard nosed forwards and defence vs 2teams with crap goaltending and unproven or continually choking forwards? Easy choice.

He'll be a good player certainly, I'm not his biggest fan, but just like Bert, he's a heck of a dude with some confidence and when he's shooting the puck. I think with Fils developing "starness" as a winger on Z's line really helps usout going forward. I'm looking to the offseason here but, If the lines stay the same and you re-sign Bert and Homer for around the same price, you have 2 very, very good lines with size and talent. Then the bottom lines you move out Williams and make Miller the extra forward and bring in Abdelkader as the 3rd line center and bring in another winger (in the Armstrong/Torres mold) and you're golden. Fil's potential and his continuing development is gonna be real big for the Red Wings going forward.

Keep him, Z and Bert together. Just money lately.

That is true, but Babs is a different guy. I dont think Bert will play 20+ every night when Eaves and Dano are back, but I could see 17-18 consistently.

Ozzie really hasnt been bad this year outside of his 3 starts in January. He's been great at home, if we beat Pittsburgh monday and Calgary lose, I could see him playng against Minnesota friday.
