If Eaves doesnt play physical tonight he's a waste, with frickin May and Helm on the same line, woo, cannot wait! Cant believe Draper and Malts play there best hockey to start a season ever, and now they're benched? Not that I'm not in favor of it, but strange still. Good to see Babs knows May is needed in the line-up.

Because it's in Buffalo, Wings win 3-1 and May gets the Gordie Howe Hat Trick.

That's a pretty sick top 6, and having a 3rd line of Williams-Helm-Cleary isnt too shabby either.

Jeremy Williams will get a look probably. But I'd love to see what Emmerton has, big fan of his in junior.

1. Shanny - can still contribute, adds some grit, and another good beard. 2. Avery - the Sean Avery after Torterella who's playing the pest, drawing calls and contributing 3. Quincey - physical, can fight, and would be a great fit on the PP and isnt Meech/Lebda.

Yeah I know, but for like 10 regular season games and the playoffs. Would've been fantastic to grab him in like 92 or 93 and have him with Yzerman all those years, oh what could have been. -

Embarrasing. Quinn is right, Iginla wouldnt have gotten away with that in the old days, I'm surprised the Oilers didnt go after him. (No, Moreau fighting Iginla straight up isnt going after him.) It was a dirty play and had it been on Lidstrom and Babcock had said the same thing, everyone on here would be behind him.

But why? Soft, and not exactly a goal scorer, Tangauy's a play maker. If Shahanan isnt an option, I'd rather the Wings sit and see what they got in Eaves, Abdelkader and Helm. -
Rather have Shanny with Datsyuk then Homer, at least with Shanny you know he's capable of scoring on more then a backhand, tip or tap in, which unfortunately seems to be all Homer can do anymore.

Leave him. It'd be a battle between Draper, Shanny and Maltby for a spot. With all of them nearing the end, it couldnt hurt. 14 points in 34 games on the 3rd/4th line isnt bad, and Brent Sutter praised him alot, the only reason the Devils put him on waivers wasthey wanted quicker, less talented guys on he 3rd and 4th lines. (What's new Jacques Lemaire) It is a fit, but I wouldnt put any stock in it, dont wanna be disappointed.

Well then. At least we have lots of cap room in case Kenny needs to make a deal. Huge blow nonetheless, at least this means we'll be seeing more of May. And Filpulla will be in the top 6 now.

Man, I love Homer, but he being in the mix makes it tougher, for the Wings to be tough. May and Helm on the same line would be fantastic, and with Maltby and Draper actually hitting and scoring, it's tough to take them out. Nonetheless, it's a good problem to have. I believe May is going to be around for the long haul though.

When Pronger went into that scrum, I was hoping he'd rip Chris Kunitz in half. He must have a soft spot for his old teamate, I hope that was just a mistake game. Philly better rip the Pens new buttholes every single game they play this year.

No... just no. sirdrake was a legend, and all of his schemes were well thought out and could've given the Wings a huge advantage had Mike just listened. This guy is nothing like that. (The part about sirdrakes schemes is sarcasm just in case people dont pick it up)

Calgary beat Montreal 4-3 tonight to go to 3-0. Eric Nystrom had a hattrick, and Staffan Kronwall looks identical to Niklas.
