If May can get 5 fights in the regular season, play decent defensively and physical, and then dile it up huge in the playoffs, it's worth whatever the Wings pay him. Plus, great to hear he's a player Mike wanted and likes, that's what I want to hear!

Yeah I do, I like all the moves we made this summer. With the likes of Abs, May, Newbury, Williams, etc in the minors just in case, I believe we're in good shape. A stronger year from Ozzie and having Lilja healthy for the playoffs and not alot of teams will be able to hang with the Wings.

Just because he fights, most people are already harping on him. And we're the biased idiots! Brad May can play hockey, and is good enough to play on our 4th line, at this point in both careeers, May is much more effective then Maltby. Malts doesnt hit hard anymore, May still can. I hopehe makes it with Grand Rapids and impresses and gets some looks, I've always been a huge May fan, never thought we'd be getting him! (Oh and him, Newbury, Bertuzzi, Abs and Ericsson is gonna be sick tommorow!)

Kopecky is moving up the depth chart, good for him, skilless bastard. As far as Burish, hope he has a speedy recovery, he's a player I'd love to see on the Wings, but as long as he is a Chicago blackhawk, I hope he doesnt play a goddamn second against us this season.

I love Malts to death, but it's becoming more the thought of him and not the player. We didnt sign Eaves to let him sit out, and Abdelkader deserves to play with his play in the postseason and preseason.

How exactly did Downeys game "stink"? He hustled all over the ice, hit anything that moved, and if someone did something to a that Aaron didnt like, he picked up for them. Was constantly praised by Mike, Nick, Z, etc. And on top of that, was never a minus player, and even managed 5 points in 54 games, which for a guy with Downs skill, is pretty fair. I dont you'll tell me that he cant skate, and I know you only like Kronwall type hits, but heres the thing, Homer cant skate either, but he has other talents that keep him in the game, and Downs hits along the boards and on the forecheck are the type of things coaches love, I just like guys that finish checks, not guys who dish out a big one every once and while. Downeys game was GREAT, energized the fans every night he played, and that's not arguable. He was voted the fan favorite in more games then I can remember. I cant believe a guy who sacrificed for our team, and was such a great guy, could be slandered by fans. It's ridiculous, I dont care if you hate enforcers, fighting etc. Downs battled for this team, and contributed everything he could, and you know what? He got his name on the cup, regardless of play time.

I'll go 20-30 less scored, and 50-60 less against.
