The reason you get arguments is when people outright say enforcers and fighting is useless and not needed, then people get up in arms.

Who gives a s*** about momentum? It swings around like crazy, Downey was one of the few who actually threw checks in a regular season game, when you get clocked, if you get up right away and nothing happens, momentum doesnt change, Chicago were a bunch of useless plugs that year, and werent going to get up and cheering over an enforcer getting knocked down.

Funny how everyone says that Downey wont be cheered when he comes back, every game he played he was the fan favorite, you cant argue that, it's hard fact. Detroit fans loved Downey while he was here, and I wish him all the best.

Gary Roberts was a ******* warrior who would tear your eyes out to win, HE was good old fashioned hockey. How anyone can say this is beyond me? Just because the Wings exhibit class doesnt mean that is how hockeys play, hockey is a brutal, violent game where the toughest team mentally and physically win in the end. Ted Lindsay, Gordie Howe, Sid Abel, would do whatever it takes to win, Roberts and Iginla are no different, Gary Roberts was a legend for his postseason play, Iginla's led Canada to gold in 02 and will do the same this year, and as much as I hate Calgary with a passion, one day he'll have a ring on his finger.

If they deal Salo for a cheap forward there looking better then Calgary, which always makes me a happy man.

Dano's gonna do it. I'm so happy to see him coming into camp healthy and confident, if he plays with Z and D and gets PP time he'll score 30 goals. In 07-08 he was having his best season ever with 20 goals and 22 assists in 63 games before getting hit by an errant shot by Samuelsson, just ya'll wait. Newfies make the most of chances like these.
