I'm more excited for this season then last. I was never a big Hossa fan, and he proved to be a distraction in the playoffs. This team has no distractions, a bunch of has beens that are trying to resurrect there careers and a bunch of guys who came 2 goals short a Stanley Cup victory. Plus we're grittier with the additions of Ericsson, Helm, Eaves and Bertuzzi. Williams is meh, but hey if we make it to the Finals again this year, Don Cherry cant say s*** because we'll have 10+ Canadians

I know it was dirty, and it was stupid, but in the heat of the moment anything can happen. I gave someone a concussion after they hit me from behind a couple years back, and felt like a complete ******* afterwards realizing it was a mistake. Bert should've just grabbed him and ragdolled the hell out of him till his teamates came in, but instead he suckered him. I know where Bert was coming from, he was trying to do the right thing, but emotions took over and he screwed up big time. As far as Moore's hit, everyone knows what he was trying to do. He probably doesnt give him the concussion if Naslund doesnt fall, but a dirty hit is a dirty hit. Not on the same level as Bertuzzi's, obviously not, but it was dirty.

Is that legal to you? In what sense of legal? He went to deliver a headshot, Naslund fell, and he stuck the elbow out and still got him. Moore was a rat, he threw dirty hits, and he chirped at everyone. He was a useless 4th liner, I'm talking worse then Kopecky, if he had stood up, manned up, he'd still be a fringe forward making 500-800k in the NHL. Instead when Bertuzzi came calling, he turned his back to him and skated away, Bert was sticking up for his friend, his captain, he was doing what's expected, and it turned into a huge mistake. The pile up was unfortunate, the fact that Bertuzzi suckered him was unfortunate, but Moore should've known if you go after a 50 goal scorer, a captain, a player not known for being overly physical, and you INJURE SAID FORWARD, you got payback coming. This is the NHL, not the KHL, take it like a man.

Bring him on, wanted Bert all summer, and 1 dummy in Williams is fine if we got Eaves and Bert to go along with it. (Plus there all Canadian )

If the Bertuzzi story is bogus, Bell couldnt hurt. He plays the same type of game, more physical and cheaper.

Interesting. Bertuzzi was one of the guys I wanted, but on top of Williams and Eaves? I guess if it fits, it makes Malts the 13th forward, and would improve our depth, and make us a bit grittier.

Pronger and Chara are there with Lidstrom and Niedermayer in the top 4. Keith is good, but Top 10 good, not Top 5.

I loved the Maltby-Draper-Cleary line in the playoffs that year, Malts was actually hitting and contributing, same with Drapes. Ah the good old days... of 2 years ago.
