Yeah, I'd much rather have Abby as a winger.

I just want to see him get comfurtable in the NHL, he played physical, but not as much as he could. He's show a clutch scoring touch, regardless of how the goals were scored, you dont just score the insurance goals in the Stanley Cup finals without knowing what your doing. I'm very excited to see what Abby and Helm can accomplish together in the NHL next year.

Eh, he doesnt have Hudlers skill, but he has much more hustle. He's decently physical, and he was a good scorer in the OHL, with some better ice time this year I'd bet his numbers will go up. I really like Cory, I'd love to see he and Pyett do well next year and contend for spots the year after in Detroit. (Yeah, I love all the former CHL players we have, I said Darren Helm would be an effective 3rd line center back when he was playing in the World Juniors, so I hope it works the same for these two!)

There's no one left. Kopecky, Sammy, Cheli, Hudler have all been whipped on quite a bit the past 2 years, now what. I'm thinking it's gonna be Lebda, or Lilja if the injury hurts his play when he returns.

As a fan, Downey/Mac/Cheli/Conklin I all enjoyed having here last year.

I'm perfectly fine with the team as it is. Sure I'd love a Mike Peca or a... come to think of it, he's the only worthwhile FA grinder available. There will be a couple of gritty top 9 forwards at the deadline that could be had cheap if there teams are out of it (Nolan and Tucker come to mind) so Holland will definately have options, but who knows. I doubt he'll have a team go into the season so rookie heavy. (Not that it is a bad thing by anymeans however.)

This is just like the old team. A coach thats stresses defence first, a team that has a strong defensive core, and not much in the way of offence outside of Iggy, and tough as nails. Gonna be even more fun hating them this year if it backfires But I like Grats, so I wish him luck.

Exactly, Sammy is marginally faster and better defensively then Hudleer, marginally, and he still looked like a moron more often then not. Defenceman man the points, thats how it's always been.

Horrible idea at the NHL level, he gets beat and the other team are off to the races on a breakaway. Just let it be defenceman, Stuart and Ericsson can do it, give them opportunitys at camp and see who does the best.

Dont want Hudler back, he went for money, I dont blame him, it's 10 million frickin dollars, but he doesnt want to be here. And he is forcing Hollands hand, by the time next week rolls around, we could have no decent grinders left on the market, and then we'd have to trade assets to get one, all because of Hudler. Usually I dont side with Kenny on most things, but I'd be real pissed off if I was him too.

I still love Drapes and think if you match him up with a gritty forward or a guy like Helm his play will be alot better and more effective. The only problem is the near 5mil tied up in Drapes, Homer and Malts, really handcuffed the Wings, but if there healthy this year, they'll still contribute.

1.5 is a solid price for Moen. Good signings by the Habs for him and Mara.

Nah, Moen, Peca, Betts etc. are better options, cheaper and you dont have to give up assets to get them.
