Getting maddd tickets to the winter classic if it comes here

What do you think wings will pick with their 29th overall?
Detroit # 1 Fan replied to a topic in General
If Kassian were to fall to us, we'd be stupid not to pick him. He's just what we need, doubt he will though. -
Longshot but is it possible Penguins could match what Oilers
Detroit # 1 Fan replied to thegreat66's topic in General
I hate the Penguins too, but reading to some of the posts in this thread has been embarrasing. We lost the frickin series, making excuses is for losers. Man oh man, I get it, the Pens trolls are very annoying, but they arent even baiting you guys into this stuff, your just using the injuries card and the better team lost. Never true, winners win, losers lose. It wasnt our year, get over it. To the OP, very slim chance, but who knows in this day and age. -
Malkin plays the whole powerplay, no penalty kill, and is a big freaking Lurch. I wouldnt ever want that idiot on my team. Even though Ovechkin urks me with some of the stunts he pulls, he's still a hell of a hockey player. Would love to have him, if it came at the expense of Dats, I'd maybe be inclined to do it, but I'm content having Pavel. He's really turned himself into a player.

Rafalski, Stuart, Draper, Maltby, Holmstrom and Filppula

Eva, I can play hockey too, but I'm not taking up a roster spot on a Stanley Cup champion team, there are players in the minors better then Kopecky, and giving him the spot would be a mistake. Funny you should mention Downey, and there alot closer then you think. Downeys skating=Kopeckys skating, go ahead and argue but Kopecky has one of the ugliest strides, just like Downey, but is very weak on his feet. (Not debatable, at least once per game he falls over on a light bump) Downeys puck skills<Kopeckys puck skill, I'll give him this one, he is a european afterall and this should be his claim to fame, Downey grew up on a frickin potatoe farm. Downeys hockey sense=Kopecky hockey sense, Downey always makes the right play defensively, rarely has made a mistake that cost the Wings in his time here. Kopecky generally makes the smart defensive play as well. Downeys intangibles>Kopeckys intagibles, one of them has the ability to fight, the other doesnt. They both throw checks, and can throw hard checks. Downeys more vocal on the bench, but Kopeckys a youngerish guy on a veteran team so it's not really his job. It isnt even that I dont like Kopecky anymore, it's he lost his spot by being injured all the time, and having kids consistently out perform him. -
Rafalski, Stuart, Draper, Maltby, Holmstrom and Filppula

I'm taking none of those, because that bum Kopecky better not be on the team next year! -
Leafs, because pretty much all of my family like them, except for my dad and me. Plus I always liked the players there (except Razor and Dumtropov haha) Other then that, I've always liked the Oilers a bit, if for nothing more then being better then Calgary every year

This season, Chara was better then Nick in the regular season. That's how the Norris is awarded, no problem with that. Congrats to Pav on his two awards, although I hope he gets some more PIMs next season, not a fan of the Byng Also, the 1st team all stars were flawed. Iggy and Green over Datsyuk and Lidstrom? Please.

Screw the slaphots! When his wrist is healed we'll be seeing alot more of this:
-
USA would be foolish to value experience too much, Canada did that in 2006 and got slapped around.
-
Yeah, I'd sign either. But I just love big Canadians, dont hurt there former Wings . Honestly, for those prices it really couldnt hurt.
-
There going to Toronto. Along with Beauchemin, possibly Morrison and Bertuzzi as well. Burkie will collect the effective former Canucks/Ducks
-
You've gotta think Osgood wants to prove critics wrong that he's still a money goalie regular season=playoffs. Howard, he needs a shot. He may not get the wins when he came up, but he always impressed me at least, wanna see what he has.
-
Eva, Stuart and Cleary wont waive the NTC, nor would they even be offered up in a trade.
-
Greg does this to piss people off. Read the disclaimer above, he wants people to read this and hate it. No biggie, he's trying to be funny, some parts were, some parts were grasping at straws, but really, who cares. nvm mad rant
-
That's too bad. His playoff beard would fit in perfectly with Detroit.

2009 Playoff Picks Game Final Standings
Detroit # 1 Fan replied to NeverForgetMac25's topic in General
57th, ouch. Gonna have to really study the series better next year -
Would be great, honestly Murray would probably be all over that, but the problem is Fisher makes more then Fil.
-
He's not what we need on the 3rd and 4th lines, thats the problem. He's a top 6 forward, and Mike wont use him as such, his powerplay production is great, but he was getting shut down on the powerplay left and right from Game 6 of Anaheim on. Fil and Dano can play the powerplay, I mean, there's just no need to keep Huds if it means getting a nice draft pick.
-
For anyone too lazy to click links like myself. Rafalski - herniated disk in back, seperated shoulder Cleary - severly pulled groin Lidstrom - damaged testicles Datsyuk - charlie horse, bad foot Homer - hernia, bad foot, bad knee Like that's some pretty big lifting there, too many injuries, not enough gas. They'll be back next year.
-
Eh. The 4 million is a nice bargain price, but I dont even want Hoss here, use the money elsewhere. What happens if you give him a long term deal and he s***s the bed in the playoffs again next year? Where do you go from there?
-
Jesus man, Rafalski really got banged up.
-
Congratulations to your team for a great finals series
Detroit # 1 Fan replied to BewareThePenguin's topic in General
Your fans sure as hell did. And there you go again, our team and coach didnt use it as an excuse. They knew they were beat, but they acknowledged that the injuries were there. There's a difference, but for some reason I dont believe you'd understand anyways. -
Did you just compare Chris Pronger to Hal ******* Gill?
